Hi bob ,my brothers got a scrap yard among the scrap are old safes i have a sack of 3d pieces ,plus other coins i have all the dates from coins they say are rare ,i would be happy for 50p a coin lol ,they are worthless unless u wanna resin them in a table top
I have a 1953 three pence in a set, no more. It is not an ugly coin, but one way or another I cannot be excited either. It is a bit of a stranger amongst its other pre decimal brothers and sisters, because of its size and shape. But anyway thanks for this video, always a lot to learn.
Hi.. i'm from Cirebon I have Theree Pence 1937 and 1943 and Theree Pence Gratia Regina + Elizabeth 1960. Where to sell this coins? Condition of the coin is very good Thanks
@@BitsAndBobsCoins it’s at the bottom between the last e of pence an the 3 of 1943, with a little hook back towards the 3. Sorry that about the best I can describe it.
This coin does not wear well so it needs to be in extremely fine condition or better to be collectible. I think that is also true of all cupro-nickel coins. Fortunately these are the more recent coins than silver coins, but coin collecting will still be expensive according to my ideas. A type collection is suggested. There are two types of nickel-brass threepence from King George VI’s reign. After 1948 the IND IMP was omitted.
@@BitsAndBobsCoins An additional difficulty is that some details wear off rapidly which destroys the attractiveness of the design. Examples are The row of guns on the side of the ship on a halfpenny The date on King Edward VII Britannia florins The garter star on Victoria Old Head coins Perhaps you could produce videos showing what to look for if a good collection is sought. Other coins are always almost automatically in decent condition, like farthings and silver threepences. A lot of them probably sat around in drawers for a long time. These would be a good place to start a collection.
I've got a 1932, but one year out is no good! There are 7 of the 1933 known, but even rarer, the 1954 - 2 known, and rarer still, the 1952 - ONLY ONE!!!
Everyone pronounced them 'thripence', not threepence. And usually, a 'thripenny bit' for some obscure reason. Just like a halfpenny was always pronounced 'haypenny' across all social spectrums.
Great little coin
La tengo
Very nice
1946 ,,,
Yes the rarest dates
I have one and it’s gone green around the edges and I look up used the rear metal in war time would make it worth money
Is it worth money if it’s copper coz most are bronze but I saw a thing saying only 15 was made useing copper

Though none of those coins have any real value eBay is the best bet
Got one with a miss strike any ideas of value?
Depends on the severity

Yes the higher condition coins are much less common and therefore desirable
