Listening and watching this today the first day of 2024. I'm 54 and reviving the days and music of Talk Talk I enjoyed during the 80s. Marks voice is sublime! Very much a fan from here in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Mark Hollis, the personification of vocal sincerity, genuinely a once in a lifetime talent. He was so underrated and under appreciated but will be greatly missed.

I was 16 when the 80s dawned, so it as the era of my youth. As time goes on I become more convinced that it was the best and most diverse musical era. The original commenter is right. Mark Hollis was so talented, yet totally under rated.

I agree 100 percent.. I ended up on their greatest hits.. and almost missed Tomorrow Started.. because I didn't listen to the end.. a true masterpiece.. as all Mark Hollis songs are.... he is probably the most under-rated 80s singers.. plus the bands drums and bass.. long live Talk Talk!!

One of the songs that weirdly hardly ever features on 80s compilation albums or 80s themed radio stations etc.. I suppose it helps to keep this amazing track feeling fresh whenever I do chance upon it.

I recall, our first introduction to those guys was "It's my life", then I got the LP album and listened to it none stop every day for a while. I even DJed and played it whenever people didn't ask for anything specific, because it was so good and so brilliant. Great music is timeless and amazing.

Says it all.
I totally agree, he had amazing hunting voice, after just one song his voice is in your head all day long.

I was watching tv when this video came on in 1981. I could not believe what I was hearing. It was instant amazement and who was this band. Talk Talk. The Party's Over clearly one of the best albums ever. I'm so sad Mark is no longer with us. Thanks Mark Hollis RIP

Got laughed at when I bought "The Party's Over" but I could hear the timeless brilliance even then.

I listen to and listen to this otherworldly music, watch and watch these mesmerizing videos for over a year, and still love them like the first time. It's amazing, nothing like this has ever happened to me. Mark and his music are part of me, I will always thank the day when this meeting was possible.

My favourite band of the 80’s, I saw them live on the party’s over tour at Fryers in Aylesbury , Howard Jones was the support act a few months later he was at number one ! fantastic musical era

There was a period in the 80s when bands in Britain made some extraordinary music, bands like talk talk ,the cure ,joy division, human league , the smiths we really didn't know how good this period was for British music .
Just brilliant.
Tears for Fears, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits & so many other iconic artists. The 80s was a ground-breaking decade for some incredible changes in music sound & delivery👍🏼😎👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
