As indifferent as I am towards these two I find it hilarious how much love Hasbro gave these two during the ROTF/HFTD run. Out of all the releases the Human Alliance ones are still my favorite, but this one still has the best novelty alt mode. The first and only Ice cream truck I think Hasbro has ever given us. Transformed them I think once than immediately back to truck mode as they were some of fiddley and underwhelming bot modes I think Hasbro has ever produced. That said Studio Series Voyager please.

I like the idea of twins. I like the idea of two robots joining in altmode. But everything was set up against them. Their designs, their voices, their attitudes... nothing was likeable. I hope they get some sort of redemption later down the line.
The most basic nature of their template was alright: a pair of junior bots babysat by an "older kid" bot, perhaps the previous kid appeal bot. Everything else they added onto that template is the problem.

Also while I do understand why they want to avoid them I still think they should make ss figures of them, I don’t get SS figures but I do feel that some fans would want them for a full collection. Just pretending that they don’t exist doesn’t change what happened, they have already acknowledged that they were in bad taste so just make toys of them but don’t mention their terrible personalities, maybe don’t even include a bio.

I recently got these guys and personally I really enjoy flipping back in forth between modes. Would recommend getting toyhax stickers ;) (Also I added wheels to the bottom of Skids’ feet for better accuracy) Good studio series stand ins overall.

While I recognize their faults, I have a lot of nostalgia for those specific toys. They were some of my first transformers. Hell, I loved them so much I bought two, One to keep as a truck and one to have in their robot modes.
I love how these two were shit talking Demolisher while literally soloing him AFTER he already tried to devour them. They weren't afraid of NOTHING and even laughed in the face of death!
I definitely haven't seen or heard anything of them driving in half, though their alt mode prop is seen splitting in half in the final film, though it doesn't look like it does so in such a way that there could be a shot of them still driving afterwards. Edit: The Skids half is seen to be still "driving" a bit after they split. Is this what you mean? Otherwise, I don't believe such a scene exists.

I always liked the character designs of these two with the big chests and kinda stumpy legs, and the way they combined into one car when they were the ice cream van. It’s too bad they are marred in controversy because as a visual representation of a Bay Era autobot, they really are like quintessential representations of that overly human-like face and unique colors even in both vehicle scans

I myself do not have anything to say on the topic of controversy because I don't understand what is going on with the characters. What I do remember of the two is that the reason that they liked one being red and the other being green, is because when they first got their ice cream transformation (they must have scanned it at the same time or something) they didn't like how one was in the front and the other on the back, so they always fought for the front end of the vehicle.
When you first split them apart they actually remind me of these cars that could split apart and be put together in different ways I don't remember what they were called though but I do remember there was a Baja Bug and a limousine that actually had three parts instead of two but I do agree that they need to do more Transformers like that though and if they decided to redesign the characters to not be as offensive I'd be cool with them coming back
I bought these two from a seller who used movie accurate stickers. Even if Hasbro ends up doing it because "we need to finish ROTF," they wouldn't have those decals. Otherwise, I hope they just bite the bullet and make the figures, like if you had to swim in a shark-infested pool to get to safety... in a film.

I remember getting these figures twice as a kid. Both times I had to have them returned because the clear pegs that held the ice-cream truck together sheered clean off when trying to separate them.

On my bayverse shelf i have legion skids and mudflap i think them being so small compared to other bots is funny also in my headcanon they aren’t true cybertronians but they were created when the allspark did create random bots
When I was younger my brother had this toy and I found out if you pushed them into the wall hard enough they would come apart but I also found out a short time later that they would break if you did that.

I like the general concept here... they just need more compact robot modes and better face sculpts (even generic looking G1 faces would be preferable). Otherwise, I dig the color scheme and the vehicle mode.
I have Skids and Mudflap in their combined ice cream truck mode, and love how it looks. On the negative side, they came in a combo pack with that stupid Decepticon excavator seen at the beginning of RoTF

I find it interesting how they both have visible headlights in robot mode, implying the vehicle mode has four headlights

I remember loving these two so much when i has them. It was just so cool to have transformers that combined in one vehicle. The fact that it was an icecream truck made it more fun lol. Got them from a three pack with demolisher

the concept of two robots combining to make a vehicle is cool, although i think the toy isnt all that great. it would probably be better if the vehicle was bigger

I myself do not have anything to say on the topic of controversy because I don't understand what is going on with the characters. What I do remember of the two is that the reason that they liked one being red and the other being green, is because when they first got their ice cream transformation (they must have scanned it at the same time or something) they didn't like how one was in the front and the other on the back, so they always fought for the front end of the vehicle.
When you first split them apart they actually remind me of these cars that could split apart and be put together in different ways I don't remember what they were called though but I do remember there was a Baja Bug and a limousine that actually had three parts instead of two but I do agree that they need to do more Transformers like that though and if they decided to redesign the characters to not be as offensive I'd be cool with them coming back
I bought these two from a seller who used movie accurate stickers. Even if Hasbro ends up doing it because "we need to finish ROTF," they wouldn't have those decals. Otherwise, I hope they just bite the bullet and make the figures, like if you had to swim in a shark-infested pool to get to safety... in a film.
I got this for Christmas when i was little....I hated it, but loved it at the same time.
I have always wanted that version, but never have found one. I love the look other than the heads.

I think the idea of two little robots merging for such a cute alt mode is adorable….Shame it was these characters.

Because he was cool. 😂people lost their minds when lame transformers tried to mimic the black culture. It's really dumb. Because two hilarious brothers suffered from it. But yeah people need to relax not everything is worth "canceling" it.

I mean, Hasbro not that long ago did a Black Series of Jar Jar, a character who had a similar controversy going on when Episode I was released.
They're probably never getting studio series toys, but I'd love to see a fourth party company take this figure and modernize the design
I remember getting these figures twice as a kid. Both times I had to have them returned because the clear pegs that held the ice-cream truck together sheered clean off when trying to separate them.

On my bayverse shelf i have legion skids and mudflap i think them being so small compared to other bots is funny also in my headcanon they aren’t true cybertronians but they were created when the allspark did create random bots

When I was younger my brother had this toy and I found out if you pushed them into the wall hard enough they would come apart but I also found out a short time later that they would break if you did that.

I like the ice cream truck alt mode "combiner" version of the twins.
I like the general concept here... they just need more compact robot modes and better face sculpts (even generic looking G1 faces would be preferable). Otherwise, I dig the color scheme and the vehicle mode.
