- After a name-change, the gents try a straight bourbon from the same folks who brought you maple-finished Breakfast Bourbon ( • Pinhook + Gray Skies B... ).
Big thanks to David Moskowitz for the bottle. Cheers ya M.B.!
Fancy Dan, we missed an opportunity to (maybe) add a new item to the "What does Daniel hate" list - the texture of oatmeal.
I was coming here to say the exact same thing. Timestamp is 2:30 Dan. Get your head in the game, Wildcat.
But oatmeal can be soupy or pastey so I don't know which one he hates
Weird to see the distillery I CAN SEE FROM MY APARTMENT.
It is Key-eel.
They are super nice and they offer a lovely rye. I hope you can get it.
Thank you so much for the kind words neighbor! We pronounce it as "kill" 😄🥃 Hope to see you soon! Cheers
@@davidoneill3007 Can't wait. Also Can't wait for the new cask and straight rye from the tasting room.
Thanks for the memories and unforgettable flavors!
Another Grand Rapids MB checking in. Glad to see a hometown distillery represented.
I like it also being from G.R. myself but I do know that is western Mi. Not eastern…….oh well. Now I’m out to find some.
Good Morning Gentlemen.
Hey I know that place! I've played D&D in their tasting room! :D
Good Morning MB's
Aloha Beaches! Oatmeal is the texture of throw up? Daniel you are a strange little man......🤭
GOOD AFTERNOON YOU MB'S... 🥃
bring back beard Sparkles 💫✨🎇🎆🌟🌞
One of the best spots in Grand Rapids.
I love the special effects on Daniel hitting the bottle, it’s hilarious 😂
The choreography for the hand gestures when they're talking about the flavor, is fantastic! they should start an interpretive dance group with a whiskey sponsor. Start at 3:23 to see the choreography 😉😂
I'm glad that you excellent gentlemen correctly identified baseball as a game and not a sports. All the legitimate sports are real happy now.
I like it when the “wood has taken over” 😎
I see their logic on "gray skies" Grand Rapids is always cloudy. ALWAYS!
From the Google: 'Kille (pronounced “kill,” with emphasis on the “l”) is a Middle Dutch for riverbank.'
I had to watch yesterday's and this one back to back I missed it because something is going on with the internet Good video 🥃
Oh, also, I thought you guys might've tried their Michigan Straight Rye Whiskey, which you described as cocoa-wheats or something heavy with the cocoa notes. I think I went to that distillery to try it just because of your description of it.
Fancy Dan, is oatmeal on The List?
Synchronized hand jesters 3:25 😆
And thx Fancy Dan for the late running hand slams!!!!
My office used to be directly across the river from the distillery. It was dangerous.
The mooch’s mantra “You know what this reminds me of, …” now you have to taste that bottle also.
An umpire refers to sports officials who apply their services in various kinds of sports competitions, whereas a referee is the person who ensures that all the rules and regulations of the game are correctly followed while the game is in progress.
I just checked the brand new Total Wine by me and they have this in barrel strength (63.6% ABV) for $45. I know where I'm going tomorrow..
Wow, that's a pretty amazing bang for your buck. I'm in Battle Creek so I will seek that out.
@@Larce89 it's very friendly and the flavor is so condensed. My first whiskey that I absolutely needed to proof down just to make out the complexities. An $80 bottle with a $45 price tag!
You guys should try Coppercraft Distillery Straight Bourbon Whiskey. It's another Michigan Bourbon
*Michigan AND Indiana
Hey have you been able to try the new lot 40 dark oak? My local liquor store just got it in and let me tell you its like lot 40 standard but punctuated throughout with a nice char flavour, that especially comes through when the dryness stars to hit your tounge. A great whiskey if you can get your hands on it, and definitely something to look forward to. Still has the wonderful up front rye notes but bringing more to the table with those delicious char notes throughout
Love thE minor/major shade at Kentucky- No Jethro - it’s from Michigan.
I'm a fencer (like with swords), and the person who judges our bouts is called the "director" instead of referee or umpire.
Skyy didn’t win they just decided it wasn’t worth the $$$ to fight. Too bad you didn’t get the bottled in bond.
So does this mean we have to add oatmeal to the foods that Daniel hates????
What, a local I will enjoy and be able to share? Mookay.
I chuckled out loud when Rex started mentioning the concussion epidemic in sports, and he referenced football being like a repeated car crash.
All I could think was, imagine all those hockey players smashing into each other at 3 times the speed, onto ice, and/or into the boards, with half the padding.
😏
(On the plus side, neither of those 2 games are professional soccer... Those dudes bump into a butterfly and roll around on the turf screaming, like they're on fire with an amputated limb )😄😅
That's why women's soccer is the kind to watch (especially the US ladies)
Daniel’s face as he misses the trash can yet again, even though it’s closer and right in front of him. lol
Must be nice to work at a place that is always Friday. …..Maybe you should change rare whiskey Friday to easy to find whiskey Friday and then change Mon-Thurs to rare whiskey weekday review.
I was so close to sending a bottle of this, then you guys said to stop... It could have been me
Also the word kille in this usage means river bed and the Distillery is East of the Grand River
You’re nearing 400k subs. Any special plans once you get there?
Ayye, I’m from MI
I feel like we're due for a dry week - did I miss one recently?
I think "cease and desist" was the phrase Daniel was thinking of
Kyles can be trusted with 3 things, dirtbikes, monster and whisky
I've never put much thought into it before... but it may be all racket/bat sports that have umpires instead of referees? Off the top of my head tennis and cricket are both umpire sports 🤔
LingeringkkkkkkKKK aftertaste.....
Keel….
Unbaked dough. As opposed to baked dough…
Bread!
Wu tang clams ain't nothing to shuck with
Cricket also has umpire
Wow...craft in my area is all around 50/bottle
$34.99 at meijers 😀
You two are ending each other’s sentences plus other added choreography. How long have you been married ?
1st
I miss when it was Grey Skies .. I went there once a few years ago now (holy cow), weird place - they don't have lights in there, so everyone has to turn on their phone flashlights to read the menu.
Cricket has umpires.
Cricket doesn't exist in Murka, so it don't exist.
@@MarmiteTheDog Strange but true, the first ever cricket international was played between USA and Canada on 24-26 September 1844 at St George's Cricket Club in New York.
@@vegandinner1731 The US used to play lots of good sports (quite successfully too) in them days. Us Old Worlders should probably be happy they don't so much nowadays.
Infringement?
If they stand still they're an umpire
If they run around , then a referee
i give it 3 JAWS
Another miss, and it's right in front of you!
Those guys in Michigan sure are star-crossed with their distillery name. The first name got hosed by the makers of Goose Skies vodka or whatever. The new name mighta got the video demonetized on CZcams.
I had to give away a bottle of their toasted barrel proof it was so bad. Would’ve went down the drain
Im from MI, familiar with grey skies, not this name. Never was impressed, the maple one is too sugary. I never cared for ironfish either but their new special releases are awesome
