You need to do a report on the pageant organizations in Trinidad and Tobago because some contestants and other people are talking about the missed treatment. The current Miss Universe T&T organization has treated both of their crowned winners (2022 & 2023) badly and don't even offer prizes. It just keeps getting worse. The 2024 cohort is very weak and should just sit out this pageant season.

Dani, the same organization owns the Mister and Miss Supranational pageant license. Noticed that in both 2023 and 2024, Miss Supranational T&T didn't place like before. That's no fault of their representatives. Miss Supranational T&T 2023 was appointed like 2 weeks before the main pageant, while Miss Supranational T&T 2024 was selected 1.5 months ago. That is not enough time to prep for a major competition. Also, the ugly preliminary dress worn by Miss Supranational T&T 2023 was decided by the director. Infact, he is infamous for selecting ugly gowns for the girls to wear. Also, Miss Supranational T&T 2022 only received three runway lessons and was expected to do well during competition. Needless to say, the organization has a horrible track record. They take these women money and give then little to nothing in return.
That’s because Osmel was always the big deal and trust me this year he has the best team for miss universe Mexico not to mention the girls ❤ they are all fire 🔥

As someone who finally has the chance to compete (as a married woman) and competed last month, I’m thankful to have competed during Paula & Ryan’s last year as directors… so sad to see what is happening with Miss USA as someone who has been a fan & a dream of mine to be a titleholder. Entrance fee of MU india organization is now 7X what Miss Diva organization was charging, they charged nominal fee, sponsored gowns and jewelry for all contestants that made the cut, plus gave them free stay at 5 star hotels and trained them for months. This era is all about profits and extorting gals and viewers

From what I know in Brazil a lot of existing state directors dropped their licenses when the new owner was named. I feel bad because I've been following Miss Brasil since 2011 and it's just been going down since.
dani, the situation with the miss universe brazil organization looks quite strange as well. recently, a new national director took over. he had previously organized other contests for different franchises and has accusations from former contestants who never received their prizes (in one story, a delegate won the contest but never had her tickets purchased to compete in the international stage). since the new management took over, 11 state directors have resigned. now, strong rumors say that the new national director has personal interests in electing a contestant he has known for many years, gabriele marinho. she was in the top 5 at miss universe brazil 2016 and in 2024 won the miss universe alagoas crown (the same state as the new national director). she is already considered a huge favorite for miss universe brazil 2024. ive been following miss universe for so many years now, its so sad to see things going this way.
I am having a feeling that with new directors coming in, most of whom apparently are in cahoots with Anne, they will just appoint someone they want to compete with the excuse they didn't have time to organize a contest.

I have always maintained to let the new ownership of the MU expose their true nature. Since then, MU has lost its glitter. It’s all about $$ which is fine, they have a right to make a profit but when you step all over people to do it, it will be exposed. The thing with Layla Rose, I can’t speak for sure but I just feel it’s a money thing as in lack of money. I’m not defending her but it cost money to run things and I think MU is punishing the US for being the owner of the pageant for so long. Out of spite, out of jealousy. So Layla Rose is a symptom of the cause. Toxic and I still blame the mother ship, the MU organization.

There are lots of issues and scandals but I think we ignore an elephant in the room. Pagentry gets less and less of public attention. How can a business go if few watch these very expensive shows? I'm from eastern Europe myself and MU or MW are never broadcast on TV nobody knows the current title holder etc. As far as I know pageants became much less popular in the US and many other western countries. I feel like we'll not have big international pageants in upcoming decade or two. Although of course the US and countries from Latin America and Asia will still have local pageants. Honestly I have mixed feelings about the situation. I'm sad because I liked watching these shows since I was a child but at the same time as a woman I know that pageants used to have misogynistic past and still are meat&bones no mater how they try to sugarcoat it 😕

It is going to be VERY interesting to see how Miss USA pans out this cycle. The caliber of the contestants this year is truly one of the most beautiful facially groups I have seen and while beauty is only ONE small part of a successful title holder, I was actually surprised to see this class of Miss USA. Miss Arizona, I believe is 41 years old. She is GORGEOUS. Facially and otherwise. I will be VERY interested to see if she places in the semi-finals and if she goes further. Proof as they say is in the pudding. I had such a heavy heart after R'Bonney's reign and thought we would never see a Miss USA be crowned again. The turmoil in the USA and in the Miss Universe brand continue and only time will tell if it will right itself. Very curious to see your videos regarding this year's class. I can't even fathom, that Miss Universe USA and the drama of the organisation as a whole completely dismantled the sole purpose to why there is an opportunity like this. I have followed Miss Universe since I was a child, and my mother spoke so highly of it and now that I am in my 30s I was so impressed how it changed the face of pageantry, no longer was about beauty but the advocacy and what and how these women can change the world extending the voice of women from all walks of life.
😢 I have been a pageant fan since I was a little girl. Ms. Universe excites me so much every summer. After R’Bonney’s winning (She’s my favorite Miss Universe).. i feel that pageantry in US and Miss Universe has become such a chaos. I completely respect transgenders but they shouldn’t be mixed with real women, they should have their own pageant. Mixing them with real women.. the young girls who have worked so hard with a dream, then having transgenders win… is sad. It’s like having a transgender in women’s basketball.. they have all the advantages… I hope more women - real woman will stand for women. It’s not being offensive, it’s being fair. Peace. ✌🏼
Thank you so much for doing this episode...I hope other pageant fans..organizations should do something locally....I am a nurse (RN) in my field there's a compliance body of organization that oversee rules & regulations. Perhaps this can be done and pageant should gave a stamp of "approval" to make sure safety are always in place to protect candidates, fans and others. I saw a video of Steve Harvey the other day and Miss Colombia mentioned that she prepared for the event since she was you only to be humiliated on international stage.. A simple sorry is not enough...

Dani the pic you showed of the reigning US Virgin Island is actually the reigning British Virgin Island. The last time US Virgin Islandd entered Miss Universe was in 2016...which sucks considering it's a US territory and they're US. Citizens and have resources available ($$$$$$$$) But with that said....to have the contestants flip the bill is so unethical and the organization should always deliver on their prizes for their title holders and if they dont...there should be consequences. People forget that Leadership is about people and good leaders aren't above getting criticized. The people running Miss USA and MUO really need to fig out what the purpose of the organization really is and plan accordingly. MU is past its Glory Days. Perhaps it’s time to just discontinue them. Miss Universe’s heydays were in the 70s and 80s. After that they seemed to be fake and quite trashy.

I just found out that the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA organization announced that Ricardo Patraca, a Mexican crown maker is going to make new crowns. He made the Miss Charm crown and he did a new crown for Miss Supranational 2022, the last winner to wear it was Andrea Aguilera, but apparently they brought back the George Wittels crown. Note: I don't like the crowns Mr. Patraca, they look look tacky in my they look tacky and cheaply made.

I have always maintained to let the new ownership of the MU expose their true nature. Since then, MU has lost its glitter. It’s all about $$ which is fine, they have a right to make a profit but when you step all over people to do it, it will be exposed.
The thing with Layla Rose, I can’t speak for sure but I just feel it’s a money thing as in lack of money. I’m not defending her but it cost money to run things and I think MU is punishing the US for being the owner of the pageant for so long. Out of spite, out of jealousy. So Layla Rose is a symptom of the cause. Toxic and I still blame the mother ship, the MU organization.
Louisiana will never be the same without Paula, Ryan, and Team RPM. I've never heard of any other state director having to deal with the absolute nonsense they were faced with over the last year. Wishing them all the best... 🖤

Watching from the Philippines, this news is so sad... Good thing that there's no such things here in Ms. Universe PH.
There are lots of issues and scandals but I think we ignore an elephant in the room. Pagentry gets less and less of public attention. How can a business go if few watch these very expensive shows? I'm from eastern Europe myself and MU or MW are never broadcast on TV nobody knows the current title holder etc. As far as I know pageants became much less popular in the US and many other western countries. I feel like we'll not have big international pageants in upcoming decade or two. Although of course the US and countries from Latin America and Asia will still have local pageants.
Honestly I have mixed feelings about the situation. I'm sad because I liked watching these shows since I was a child but at the same time as a woman I know that pageants used to have misogynistic past and still are meat&bones no mater how they try to sugarcoat it 😕

It is going to be VERY interesting to see how Miss USA pans out this cycle. The caliber of the contestants this year is truly one of the most beautiful facially groups I have seen and while beauty is only ONE small part of a successful title holder, I was actually surprised to see this class of Miss USA. Miss Arizona, I believe is 41 years old. She is GORGEOUS. Facially and otherwise. I will be VERY interested to see if she places in the semi-finals and if she goes further. Proof as they say is in the pudding. I had such a heavy heart after R'Bonney's reign and thought we would never see a Miss USA be crowned again. The turmoil in the USA and in the Miss Universe brand continue and only time will tell if it will right itself. Very curious to see your videos regarding this year's class. If I were to bet today for USA I have to go with Texas. She is so stunning that I actually was taken aback. Can't wait to see your first Miss USA video and of course always thank you for the data. I can't even fathom, that Miss Universe USA and the drama of the organisation as a whole completely dismantled the sole purpose to why there is an opportunity like this. I have followed Miss Universe since I was a child, and my mother spoke so highly of it and now that I am in my 30s I was so impressed how it changed the face of pageantry, no longer was about beauty but the advocacy and what and how these women can change the world extending the voice of women from all walks of life.

😢 I have been a pageant fan since I was a little girl. Ms. Universe excites me so much every summer. After R’Bonney’s winning (She’s my favorite Miss Universe).. i feel that pageantry in US and Miss Universe has become such a chaos. I completely respect transgenders but they shouldn’t be mixed with real women, they should have their own pageant. Mixing them with real women.. the young girls who have worked so hard with a dream, then having transgenders win… is sad. It’s like having a transgender in women’s basketball.. they have all the advantages… I hope more women - real woman will stand for women. It’s not being offensive, it’s being fair. Peace. ✌🏼

Thank you so much for doing this episode...I hope other pageant fans..organizations should do something locally....I am a nurse (RN) in my field there's a compliance body of organization that oversee rules & regulations. Perhaps this can be done and pageant should gave a stamp of "approval" to make sure safety are always in place to protect candidates, fans and others. I saw a video of Steve Harvey the other day and Miss Colombia mentioned that she prepared for the event since she was you only to be humiliated on international stage.. A simple sorry is not enough...

I agree, pageantry is about the contestants. There are ways to make it profitable, but many of the methods pursued today are not effective.
@@DaniWalker MUO will never be the same without Paula S. Sadly, with all the controversy the organization is facing right now it has somehow lost its "sparkle", that "Disney Magic" of a feeling. @@frostyskeletons8950The original video is on Instagram where views don't matter and it's from the venue that is hosting the pageant, not the pageant itself. It is NOT overs*xualized, nothing out out of the norm for pageants so not sure what the 1st problem with it is.

Dani the pic you showed of the reigning US Virgin Island is actually the reigning British Virgin Island.
The last time US Virgin Islandd entered Miss Universe was in 2016...which sucks considering it's a US territory and they're US. Citizens and have resources available ($$$$$$$$)
But with that said....to have the contestants flip the bill is so unethical and the organization should always deliver on their prizes for their title holders and if they dont...there should be consequences.
People forget that Leadership is about people and good leaders aren't above getting criticized. The people running Miss USA and MUO really need to fig out what the purpose of the organization really is and plan accordingly.
At present it seems like they're intentionally destroying the organization.
It's just unfortunate that people like yourself Dani who actually care, aren't hired into these organizations to help to lead it or run it.
Am so glad that Puteri Indonesia is no longer holding the franchise. And this year, they even got a better achievement. Such a good karma after what the org did to them.

MU is past its Glory Days. Perhaps it’s time to just discontinue them. Miss Universe’s heydays were in the 70s and 80s. After that they seemed to be fake and quite trashy.

I just found out that the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA organization announced that Ricardo Patraca, a Mexican crown maker is going to make new crowns. He made the Miss Charm crown and he did a new crown for Miss Supranational 2022, the last winner to wear it was Andrea Aguilera, but apparently they brought back the George Wittels crown.
Note: I don't like the crowns Mr. Patraca, they look look tacky in my they look tacky and cheaply made.
