Brandon, at 5:10 in your video, the values dont add up for the KVA, why is that?
David, It's because I am actually hooked up to a demo box not an actual circuit. I had some dials on the demo box in the wrong position. You can see the symbols next to the PF show inductive loads on phase A&B and capacitive load on Phase C. Thus because I'm simulating weird power from the demo box the numbers are off on the screen.
The video title says 1738 but the video shows model 1736. What is the difference between these two models?
The my unit was a 1736 but has been upgraded to the 1738. You can visit Fluke.com to get a datasheet that will show you all the differences. But the main difference is the 1738 when it captures an event has Waveform capture as well. This allows you to see down to the waveforms while the event occurred. The 1736 will flag events but just with time and date stamp no access to see the waveforms during the event.
