This is a great win. This is what playing in the SEC is about. There is not an easy game in this conference. It’s not like we are playing BYU or Kansas.

Let's not get rid of Jimbo Fisher just quite yet. I see what he is trying to do, and I totally agree with what he is trying to do. The problem is that Texas A&M has A LONG HISTORY of getting the good but 'just not good enough' players on the team. So, for the most part, when it comes to playing the top tier teams, A&M plays a good game, but just not good enough to win. I blame that on the players, not on the coaches. I think Jimbo can finally weed those players out and fill the roster with the players who CAN do the job IF we can just give Jimbo the time to do it. Switching coaches every 6 to 7 years just isn't going to fix it. Yes, we have been getting lucky in getting some good players the last few years. However, it's going to take a few more of these to get that team that can do it.

This is what I am always saying. People just want to win the coaching lottery. There's one, two and MAYBE three teams that are going to get the jackpot and get the Saban of the era. For the rest of CFB, it's not going to be immediate results and sustained success. People think any old coach can go 8-9 wins in the SEC. Not true. According to Slocum, A&M was falling far behind in football spending when he left. Sherill and Slocum both had mostly good years at A&M in the 80s and 90s but other than that, was never a national power.
Jimbo's contract is just a scapegoat. Another coach wouldn't cost much less and I don't hear anyone complaining about the 485 mil A&M spent on Kyle Field and other facilities. It's always possible that Jimbo is just underperforming, and another coach would just come in and magically go 10 wins and the SEC but I don't think that's how it works.

in simpler terms, I think A&M took their program to the shop thinking they were in for a 5 year ordeal but Jimbo's trying to tell them that it's not going to be that easy with the program's state. Maybe NIL allows A&M to unleash its spending power but I think rules will be coming soon enough on that.

@@GridironMasters the other coaches in the SEC have been there longer than Jimbo and are having ten win seasons.we will never see a first or second year coach in the league go to the SEC championship.

This was as poor of a win as you would hope to see after a Bye week. Offense is just horrendous and its all on Jimbo as he won’t let Petrino run loose with his own offense and he believes Addazio is a good OL coach when really he’s easily one of the worst. Defense was inconsistent but still good. Still would rather fire Jimbo and move on at this point as this team isn’t beating Ole Piss or LSU and I don’t see any major improvement in the near future

A&M hasn't consistently beaten LSU since the early 90s. I think Jimbo has hung 3 games on them.
