Got halfway through before i realized that it was Chopin’s Funeral March playing in the background, very nice touch lol. Gonna give this a go, thanks for the tip!
I use sugared bubble gum and the most important part is that you bend the metal tab on the trigger that holds the locking bar until it barely holds on. That gives it a hair trigger. If sometimes they go off just being set down you have it set right. This makes them more dangerous to your fingers and lethal to mice.
So I tried this tip by using cheerios hot glued to the yellow plastic Victor type mouse traps and it hasn't worked. I've had at least 6 traps with the Cheerio eaten or removed and only a "donut-hole" and ring of hot glue left. So I guess I have extra smart or lite mice or weak hot glue or maybe all of the above.
I'm using pea nut butter and not one has got away yet, these are big rats, their bodies are as long as the traps, the last one was a bit close the bar landed just behind its eyes, I'm new to this and I've got 4 in two weeks. I'm still gonna try your methods though they look good thanks.
I found the magic bullet. I'm using the Tomcat Rat Snap Trap. I set the trap and fill the BACK of the trap with sunflower bird seeds. I'm at 100% so far. Here is a link to a picture drive.google.com/file/d/1tC9nP4_oJOiioy-th5nsg_HICAMvpG1V/view?usp=sharing

Wow Bubble gum
I've just watched 50 videos
And no one has said Bubble gum
I'm off to the shops right now .
I wedge a piece of dog kibble in the trigger and a little Nutella gets the rat every time
Try putting peanut butter on a nut and then hot glueing it on the trap. Works for me.👌
Chopin's Funeral March in the background...🤣🤣🤣 Just had to return and edit this the following morning. It works!!!

Nice one never thought of that
Thanks man!
Some of my traps won't even set. There's not enough plastic or something.
