Today we are going to test out the A6700 versus the Sony ZV-E10.
Most importantly, my mission in this video is to test out whether A6700 does produce a better image quality than Sony ZV-E10, if so how big is the difference?

As I see in this video there's no big difference at all. Considering the price difference its hard to argue the value for money you get with the ZV E10. The a6700 is better camera overall but not worth it as it is twice as expensive or more in my opinion. If I were to chose, I would go to the Sony ZV E10 with some good lenses. Thanks for your amazing work.
The bottleneck of sensor arrived, I would say, 10 years ago. Nowadays, even iphone outperforms many apsc camera for daily shooting
until you need 4k 60p uncropped, auto framing for one man show, evf for bright condition , evf for macro photo, mechanical shutter for a better burst and sport photos, touch screen to minimize number of clicks for a deeper menu. Trust me I hate the 1080p of zve10 because I think it’s way worse than even sony a5100 1080. not to mention I hate the switch button of Photo/S&Q/Video found in zv-e10 because I have to click at least twice and sometimes it’s misleading switch, such problem should not be found in a6700 switch button. The rolling shutter problem of zve10 make me keeping not to take the video of fast-paced objects such as speedy train. Of course, so many things of zve10 that I love, such as type c port , screen flip design, and headphone jack port.

Nice comparison job!! IMO ZV-E10 price is half the price of the A6700, but it is not half the performance. I will keep my ZV-E10 until the mark II comes out or maybe the “A6200”

Great job, bro; I like your comparison! I admit, I own both cameras and I literally use them both for different reasons. Because many of the differences in quality and color science are similar its a great camera 1 and camera 2 duo for many applications.

What's the sweet spot / max for iso on the a6700 without introducing noise ?... I would use something like the sigma or Tamron 1.4

Totally agree. A6700 have its USP of 4K 120fps with little crops, which the full frame A7IV and A7cii couldn't do

Nice review and comparison, I'm thinking of buying the zv-e10 and from what I see is a great choice, I just hope a new version does not come out soon .. The boom that this camera is having in this period makes me think that Sony is pushing to give one last big boost on the market in order to have further success with an eventual heir (a zv-e10 mark II or something similar)
Thanks gabriel ! Yaya.. a new mark ii version might come out... At the moment, maybe consider to get a used ZV-E10 Kit, it will be around $600, so you can start film and earn some money. Because if the new mark ii version were to be released, it is highly likely to have a steep hiked in MSRP just like the zv-1 mark ii and sony a7cii.

You're welcome ! A6700 excels in terms of functionality like touch screen menu, flexible iso, s-cinetone, auto-focus clear image zoom and so on. I wanted to upgrade too.

One thing youtube videos didn't properly show me is the rolling shutter for video on the ZVE10 really is horrendous, unless your shooting still it feels unusable, I was slow panning left to right and it was so wonky. I bought the ZVe10 based on a lot of youtube recommendations but have now sent it back and will get the a6700
this is exactly why I returned my zve10 it was like the slightest touch made the footage jitter. the jello effect was awful.

A6700 had warmer WB... That's what made it look better... You can get amazing results with the zve10 as well...
I'm not seeing a $700 difference in performance think I'll go with the zv-e10. Good video.
I upgraded from ZV-E10 to A6700 and I can say that A6700 is much more fun to shoot with, not even close.
Is there much difference in video quality in this video there doesn't seem to be much difference in quality

I use a tamron 70-180 for both e10 and 6700. And the 6700 performed great for sports. Especially for video. E10 did great also but not as AF as the a6700.
what camera are you using on the stand to showcase us both cameras?
For talking it is sony A7C, BTS is A7IV

Hello, I use film cameras, and zv-1(1 inch sensor camera) and fx30 for vlog and video recording. Nowadays I am craving to use digital cameras for my photo works. So my entry digital cam list that I was looking for is the cameras zv-e10 and a6700 you reviewed. Thank you for the comparison video.
I have a question I took some pictures with zv-1 setting on "RAW" however it is little bit different with the raw image of aps-c sensor cameras. I usually do color correction, editing and grading on my photos and found out the color correction latitude is not that wide. So I searched the raw file of zv-1 is not 14bit color from Sony website.
I would like to know the Raw image quality and color correction latitute of a6700 and zv-1 is similar. I checked from Sony website, those have 14bit color RAW file.
Hi killa-kitty, mostly I didn't shoot raw. Hence, I didn't perform a test on the raw images. Nevertheless, if you don't mind, I will take a few raw photos for you to perform an edit for ZV-E10 & A6700. Probably, I can only deliver the photos next wednesday. A6700 is double the price…
You can totally get ZV E10 and two wonderful sigma lenses (the 16mm and the 56mm)
This way you can have wonderful lense for wide scenes useful for vlogging or the 56mm for portrait
The rolling shutter can be easily fixed with Catalyst browse.
The A6700 is just too expensive for an APS-C camera. At that price point, it’s better to just buy a full frame.
However, if you want the best APS-C camera possible (ignoring price), then by all means pick the A6700
I am just telling you that the difference in performance is not that different.
You got 80% of the performance for half the price.
If you are on a budget, pick the ZV E10 and get one good lense such as the sigma lineup (16mm, 35mm, and the 56)

i have the zv-e10 and planning to upgrade to a6700 but it looks like there's no really much of difference with regards to photo and video quality. can you review the viltrox 75mm f1.4?
hi there, viltrox 75mm f1.2 is highly praised by alot of youtubers, reviewers. The only downside is video AF is not responsive. I hope I can do the review too, but I didn't have the chance to get the lens at the moment.

Good compare. I think the main problem of zve-10 are video rolling shutter and blur on 1080p.
But if you like me have a restrict budget I still go for it with [many lens, batteries and accessories]
Yes sir, I am like you...restrictive budget, now I prefer to utilise the zv-e10 properly and hopefully make more money by using it.
My opinion is, for hobby home user ZV-e10 is best choice for money and with good lenses it makes great results.
For moneymakers better full frame anyway. I makes my home memory movies with Insta360 (one inch sensor), NOTHING can beat 360 effects, for photos my ZV-e10 with lenses I choose and often my phone (Samsung Note 10+) because it Always with me.
This comparisons for photos only makes no Any difference to me between cam's> my opinion here only

zv e10 image stabilization is better with catalyst browse from sony, meanwhile a6700 isn’t compatible with catalyst browse
I see Sony a6700… I think sell zve-10 and buy a6700 or more expensive camera… like Sony a7iv or a7vr, but this not light and vlog camera…

Yes gregg, A6700 is better. But actually the ZV-E10 perform much poorly on rolling shutter, especially 35mm onwards

So zv-e10 has terrible screen and a6700 has a little bit less terrible screen :)
