Recently discovered trivium just before the release of WTDMS and now I can say that they are one of my favorite bands!
When me and my friend were younger, Ascendency just dropped, and had heard some of it in kerrang and scuzz and wasn't my cup of tea. My friend harped on at me for years to just give the album a go. Cut to 2019, and that album is on loop on my Spotify. Just always.
Moral of the story, I was a stupid 13 year old hahaha

Go watch nik nocturnal cover of it, he does it on a six string in pretty sure that's how I learned it. Still fun even tho its not a 7 string.
Bleed Into Me is my favourite song off of this album too! I'm also lucky enough to have bought a 7 string before the album came out. Definetely a great investment.
Late to this, but budd go get a 7 string at guitar center it will run you 200 new, $150 for a used one!

If I was the richest man in the world, I would make myself penniless to pay you to teach me how to sing the last part of Catastrophist. Around the 5:05 minute mark of the song and deliver the most powerful vocals of the song. And then just...beast mode it a million times better on this live recording. I can match pitch and tone but that vibrato and feel....kudos Matt. My son turns 4 next weekend and all he asks for is songs from this album and Silence in the Snow and thats been a bigger bond for us recently. So thank you and the rest of Trivium for everything extra I can share with my son
Out of all the shit that happened , WTDMS and the new Lamb of God record are two of the best things to happen this year

Damn Matt is really an awesome dude ! There is sometimes streamers that don't even take into consideration the donors and seeing Matt thanking litterally everyone and do streams to continue to entertain people really says it all on his kindess.
I really enjoy this performance. Whether there's a pandemic happening or not I would love to see Trivium and other bands streaming full play throughs of albums.
