Thanks to Grant and Shelby for showing me around for over 4 days of filming! The keep more varieties of caridina shrimp, than any independent fishkeeper or shrimp breeders in the world. The epic tour of their Shrimp Rooms, Pools, Tubs and Ponds WILL BLOW YOU MIND!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! More footage from this trip to Florida, including never before seen, new lines, strains and spefies or shrimp.
There is nowhere quite as large or diverse in the world or caridina, neocaridina, sulawesi opa ula, babaultis and hybrid types of shrimp. however there are even more yet to come this winter.
We go over how to go from red or black crystal shrimp, Tangerine Tigers or gold bee caridina serrata shrimp, to bee shrimp, bolt shrimp, galaxies, pintos, foshbone, scorpion, lemon heads, headless horsemen, skeleton, tibee, taitibee, Thai, Taiwanese, taiti, yellow eye, rili, yellow headed, clear body, yellow steel, blue bolt, culls, hybrids, orange eye, wild Seratta, Cantonensis, Longmani, German, Chinese, American Japanese and Taiwan style yellow or gold / golden shrimp lines.

Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers
Yes sir very much appreciated I'm currently working twords using IBC totes for my big hybrid cichlids and I'd like to pipe the waist water to a greenhouse that's the plan for the summer anyways should be interesting 🙋🏽♂️ Thanks for all the great information.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Definitely inspiring some ideas to try!
Why of course! I'm glad you liked it!
someone's playing cyberpunk, that's what's up 2:55. oh nevermind, that's netflix tv show hahaha
All the beautiful shrimp!! 😍 wish i had enough tanks for them all !!
Right?
This tour of Grant & Shelby's Garden of Eder was better than medicine today! I started watching this morning while I was waiting for an injection to make it's way to where it was supposed to go for an intense test and finished later this afternoon. I especially appreciate you showing the mosaics. They are one of my favorite surface plants but too big for the 20L. Thank you three; Alex, Grant & Shelby for taking the time to give us the grande tour.👏😉
Feel better! I'm glad it was a nice distraction
I'm glad we could distract you for a little 😁 thank you for watching!
Blue Turtle!! Brother, I like the format and path. Keep it up, God bless.
I really appreciate your feedback and support. Thank you!
That’s it! I’m moving in with Grant and Shelby this winter! I can cook and do water changes 😆
Lol right?
Good stuff!
Please do this with crayfish! Let's goooooo! :) I gave up on these after multiple waves of ghost shrimp, just to see if I can manage sensitive shrimps, that was a fail. $100 of Crystal Reds (S-SSS), gone. I have caught and kept crayfish and they work for me, and I have yet to have one eat a fish. Hopefully this comes across as a suggestion, than about saying anything negative about small shrimps. These color morphs on a crayfish would be very, very cool.
Blue Turtle So for me this is your best work. Great subjects 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🌿🌿🌿✌️✌️✌️👍👍👍👍
Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.. it was 4 days of filming and 2 of editing. There's still soooo much haha

@@tgoeshelbykaye5252 well, let’s just hope aquashella does an event in Orlando again! If not, I do have family in Florida that I havent seen in years, so could be a great opportunity to dual task a trip!
Went and placed and order half way through, Looks like an amazing facility and seem like wonderful people!

I really enjoyed this video so many amazing shrimp and fish! Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!
As ALWAYS…excellent video…and how about those BLUE TURTLES!! 😊
You are a champ! Thank YOU :)
It's so good to watch this again!
Why thank you! Ive watched it a few times also
This is one of the most amazing in-depth fish house tour I've ever seen. You must feel so lucky and honored for the time and hospitality given you by Grant and Shelby.
Amazing footage and indepth commentary by you for the overwhelming amount tanks and ponds to cover and their inhabitants.
Not many would give someone this much of their time for what you were able to accomplish....wow ..just wow!!
LRB better step up his game....Grant and Shelby about to take his crown!
Obviously wonderful people with a true love for this hobby, it's education, and an open giving heart for people. Just wow!!
Thanks for sharing this, and for all your time put in and your own dedication to people and this hobby and all the living critters and plants involved. 😍❤️😍
Thank you for watching ❤️ we love what we do and I'm glad it shows! Lrb is really putting in a lot of work! He will be back up in no time! Great thing about the hobby is there is so much room for crazy people like us 🤣
I had over 14 hours of film thanks to the kindness of Shelby and Grant...I was so lucky and I actually decided to spend 4 different nights filming tgoe instead of LRB's ...so I need to save up my money to go tour his new place as well :)
@@tgoeshelbykaye5252 I love LRB! I meant that only in fun. His channel was just getting started when I fell in the rabbit hole. My head was swimming with an obnoxious amount of conflicting information. I really got my balance and quit freaking out so much about doing something wrong watching him. Infact, most my livestock and plants came from him if not from Aquatic Arts.
Y'all's place is a dream! Unfortunately, outside tubs do not work well in Central Texas. I wish!! Would have broiled shrimp for sure though.
Love to see people living their dreams. ☺️☺️☺️
@@Fishtory Probably worked out for the best. He will have more up and running with a lot more cool stuff to show when you can finally make it there. I'm not sure if that man sleeps. I'm amazed every week with how much progress he's made with a family and while still breeding fish and taking care of orders not to mention CZcams.
Will be an awesome segment when it happens for sure! ☺️☺️☺️
Impressive tank tour and very informative. Keep up the excellent work you do.
Thanks, will do!
22:35 - so stoked to see someone house a Betta properly. It almost never happens. Shallow water, little filtration/movement, lots of plants to hide in. PERFECT!
I'm setting up my shrimp nano tank at the moment and this video came right on time! Checked out their website and definitely going to be ordering stuff!
Man now I’m itching to get shrimp
This was so cool to see! I'm envious of all of their shrimp, had to buy some today.
Haha i feel that
I enjoy this so much! Amazing content, best wishes to you and your future projects! 🌻 Dr. Pepper needs to sponsor you😂
Blue turtle 🙂 This was an amazing video. They are living my dream life. I hope to see more like this. I'm watching this at 2 a.m and could have watched it for much longer. I will likely be watching this again to learn more about shrimp lines and breeds. Will definitely be buy shrimp from the as well after see how well everything is cared for
You are a champ! Thank you
My apartment looks like Grant's house 😂
Most excellent haha
The blue turtle is among us!
Thank you
Omg this looks so crazy. Im fairly new to the hobby. I already want like 4 different tanks 🫡
Welcome to the Beautiful World of CZcams and this amazing Hobby ❤️❤️❤️
"M T.S"
Fantastic setup...
Thanks for the wonderful video Alex 😁
PSSH THANK YOU!
Thats a super healthy rack of shrimp
Neat! Hope you enjoyed it too
Whats the deal about them blue turtles though? Ive only ever seen the pink ones....
Heehhe yay yes I did (wish I wasn't hung up on filming so much, and just could have taken It all in more, honestly... but so worth the trip and 4 nights filming!)
I've been trying to find some of these, I've always been good at breeding projects....
Awesome tour! I want to hear more about the blue turtles
Hehe I filmed more of them solo too
Im shopping on you website, happy Shrimpmass
Thank you so kindly
Yes, the blue turtles were cute! Florida is amazing aside from hurricanes😮
Right when I wanted to know the answer to what’s makes a galaxy shrimp or just a regular pinto shrimp. Wish it didn’t get cut off…. Great video though!
So it's in another video...but it's 8 or 9 head spots is galaxy 3 to 7 is pinto :)
Great video, keep it up 🕊️🇬🇧
Thank you
my first time ever knowing and seeing a blue turtle way ar beginning of this! lil dude under the lillypad. so derp derp
Derpy animals of the world unite
Ummmm, I keep ostracods for fishfood and some separate to watch cause they are cool and weird. This was a great informational tour. Happy Shelby is keeping Cares species. Thanks Alex, this was great. The blue turtles look cool.
I keep them on their own as well hehe thanks chevyfish!
Thanks for watching chevy! So wonderful to see you this weekend , thank you so much for all your help 💜
#blueturtle... lol. Nice video
I'm so glad you found it worth watching. Thanks Jim!
Blue turtles are cool
Nice video n info. Quick constructive comment..,if you ask a question don't interrupt his answer
Yeah, I appreciate that. Thank you. I always tend to do that from excitement annoyingly. it was hard since we went like 14 hours and 4 days it was lots of retakes also. W
Thanks Alex for taking us along for the Tour. I enjoyed seeing the Blue-headed Turtle.
I appreciate and admire them for breeding the Critically Endangered Fish Species. Bravo.
I am planning to breed some of the Critically Endangered Livestock Breeds...ones that I got to know as a kid in an Agricultural High School that are now on the Critically Endangered Livestock Breeds List. Good for them.
The Native American Elders share how the more of the Animal Kingdom Species become extinct, that this will trickle down to us Humans. This planet was once very balanced, not so anymore.
Great Job.
Agreed. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
What is the secret to growing such amazing looking moss?!? Mine only grows well on my sponge filters or when it clings to a rock.
Living in Florida haha
Why I sure hope they write a book on shrimp I would be there first customer maybe they could do it by year as they developed.
I totally agree
Blue turtles 🐢
I have leopard frogs 🐸 here that lay soooo many egg that the tadpoles mess up my summer tubbing. I too put tons of tadpoles in my koi pond lol
Great video Alex and thank you
Thanks for watching and dropping a blue turtle! Hahah cheers.
blue turtles were cool
Ok I commented early so blue turtle and yes he was cool also
Hahah
Wow
Right?
I would love to have some emerald green shrimp And oh yes oh have you ever seen a double short tail emerald green guppy and how would you breed them if you wanted to get some if they didn’t have them I had one one time never breed it
Blue turtle 100% cool stuff.
Thank you
This is the first time I came across your u tube; you're very informative . what substraight are you using? I'm from Australia.
Brightwell is what we both use for shrimp mostly. Sometimes fluval stratum and in aquascapes, amazonia ada but let it cycle well over a month usually
I think Blue Turtle is a type of blotter acid I did back in the early 80s...
Hahah most impressive sir
🤣
Definitely late to the party on this video but I have to say I'm definitely stepping my game up after watching! I've currently only got one CARES act species. Working on adding more eventually
Right on! I'm glad they inspired you too! I was drooling over their collection of species haha. Best of luck to you
@@Fishtory thank you 😊 Grant and Shelby are awesome.
Incredible home, my landlords think I have too many aquariums without knowing that I have 15, I have 1 or more aquariums in every room of my home, including the bath room . in my bedroom i have to shallow long 27ltr acrylic storage boxes with quiet pumps or I wouldn't be able to sleep...
I couldn't take my eyes off the screen and was kinda sad when it finished...
Haha i had 14 at my old place and they never found out because i gave the repair guys herb to not mention it lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 herbs often do the trick,
i also keep over 400 house plants, and i generally have a really full house which the consider oppressive... so i have my means of keeping them away 😏🤫
Blueeeee turtleeeee
Heyo hero
I love my tequila goodeid. I definitely want more!

😁 hopefully have some on the website soon
They're super cool!

Great video Alex! I didn’t realize that they had kids living there. I say that because little kids can be mean and I would hate to see them get picked on for something that’s out of their control. Either way interesting tour great video🎉
The kids love bragging about their strange home 🤣 all the kids love coming over to see the tanks and they think we are "famous" 🤣
Your kids are the kindest and most well behaved kids that I've seen in many years.
I ask because,My son had a friend over recently and he asked “hey Junie what’s up with your mom‘s weird office?and all the fish”🤣 June wasn’t thrown off by the comment but I sure as hell was lol. I had no idea what to say besides I like it🤷🏻♀️
@@Fishtory thank you 💚 we lucked out 😁
@@Mskittey I usually use it to teach the kids because a lot are not exposed to the aquarium hobby and you would be surprised how many love it 💜
What are them plant called that closed when you flicked there leaves
I dont think they were from Finland? Bit cold there for shrimp?
I dont think they are either haha. I actually sorted out why he thought that. The guy who discovered a dozen species similar, is from Finland, and his shop sold the earliest group in the pet trade. But i had heard of stranger things than a cold shrimp....so i let grant tell me what he knew.
Wow, they're gonna need a warehouse if they want their home back from the shrimp lol!
Right??!

Following you for awhile I can only imagine the ideas you took back from this ha ha I wonder how your wife will feel mine said don't send her video ha ha she said I have enough tanks lol we have 5 technically I only have 3 that are mine lol iam thinking of a sixth tank but where to put it kitchen table maybe lol
Haha just wait for the Chicago aquascape tour muhahah
🤣 keep adding more is always the solution 😁
any theories on why those plants close up?
So it's an osmatic reaction with cells quickly squirting out their water on one side of a line of symmetry... but why they do it and others dont? ... not known for sure. But the acacia tree is a distant plant relative and they rise up a total of 1 to 2 feet if you add up each branch doing it, when giraffes start chewing on leaves....and they send a signal for nearby trees to transport extremely bitter tannins into the leaves when one part of the plant is being chewed
How much do you get for your emerald green shrimp
hold on! turkish killifish ? i am turkish i dont even know about it. over all its my dream actually have that much tanks at the same time maybe in my retirement if i can :D
Dream big!
Can anyone please help me and tell me the name of the fish shown at 24:24, I can't understand what she says either time and looking up west Africa fish doesn't help.
What is the diamond shaped leaf looking floater at 1:16:06 ?
Ludwigia mosiaca
I bought galaxy shrimps, they all died. Lol
My red, black, brown, green cherry ones just never stop having babies.
Yeah caridina are tricky
I want me a blue turtle
Yous a real one!
Where are they located?
Spring hill florida
14:18
Cappuccino snail? No I think their more brown in colour. 🤔
Same genus (but I agree...more a "black devil spike etc)
A question for you can fish Swim in gravity, in Space .
If they have something to push off...like a box of water, yes
The Praecox never looks great on camera during video streams...it is an amazing fish.
The red fins (I think the females have a touch of yellow) with flashes of Blues, Tourqoise, Teal and even what looks purplish at times, and they are so animated! Get 8+ for quite a show!
Do u still have your malawa shrimps
Some. I had a big colony collapse in the main tank sadly
Blue turtle 🐢 🫐
Finnish shrimp must really like cold water.
I found out after this that theyre called finnish shrimp due to a Finnish importer who paid to collect the species and thus he "discovered" it and bred them. So they're likely going to be named after him
@@Fishtory that make sense. It's cold enough here in northern Scotland let alone Finland.
