Chanel surfing, have you looked into the Sharrow prop? It’s odd looking and seems to good to be true. 70% fuel increase at slow speeds.

I’m currently working directly with Powertech on sizing a prop. I have looked a lot at the sharrow. It’s $5,000 a prop. I’m within about 10 pct performance of the sharrow on a 5 blade prop with some modification made to it. I’d like to know how good I can get out of a prop for less than $1k.

When you change your solar out. 22 200 W panels. Did you have to upgrade the wire to the controller? Thank you.

Originally, I did not upgrade the wire from the controller to the battery. It's 10awg with a 30 amp fuse. I did set the Victron 100/30 to max output at 27 amps instead of the default of 30 as I was worried it might blow the fuse on occasion. However, since then, I did run new wire to increase teh cable size. It's an easy cable run. I put in #6awg with a 40 amp fuse so I can capture the max 400 watts (30 amps) without concern.

@@Letsgochannelsurfing here’s a whole different question for you. How hard do you think it would be to do the great loop on that boat. With those outboard motors and the maintenance that they take?

@@daverussell9875 Not hard at all. I know several who've either completed the loop, or are currently doing parts of the loop on their RT27-OB. facebook.com/groups/TheGreatLoop/permalink/10160028008438630/
