Another indiscreet move by Ramsdale's family ...they should have been a bit patient and allow the Club to come out on his transfer first ...I am sure it would not go down well inside the Club coz this can create some unnecessary complications.
Agreed, hopefully it doesn't give newcastle any ideas that they can take the piss with the fee. I can't see Edu & Arteta being willng to let him go for less tahn £30m anyway so he might find himself out on loan or going elsewhere if they do.

Only wishing him the best we all knew it was coming. The lads been a great asset to the club imo. I don’t think his personality can be replaced either.
@@DJAxenonhe did great for us but lost concentration at crucial moments last season which cost us. Too good to stay as a 2nd choice keeper but not good enough to start if we want to win the league and champions league

Be interesting to see what keeper we get to replace him. Someone to play second fiddle, or Someone to compete with raya. Id like to keep the competition going as im not convinced by raya. That said, id slso like to see a LB, midfielder and ideally an attacker who can play on the right and through the middle
Be lucky to recoup what we spent on ramsdale, newcastle know we want to sell him, and we havent played him... No way we get 35-40m, imo. Wish him all the best though, such a great keeper, and seemed a nice guy

Im not sure why we extended Ramsdale's contract and then never played him. Last summer he was the most valuable goal keeper. Now we're probably going to get half of what we would have last year

This Ramsdale deal best be part of a deal to bring in Isak or Bruno, I know Newcastle aren’t exactly title challengers but we still shouldn’t be happy to strengthen another PL team who are already very good, unless we’re getting something in return.

Arteta signs Ramsdale for £25m, then gives him a new long term contract only to now ship him off to Newcastle. Makes no effing sense. Arsenal now has to pay Ramsdale rees of his contract plus, pay Brentfford £30m to sign Raya.The money that we receive from Newcastle will only have to be offsetted to pay Brenftord for Raya.

35 millions for a goalie that has been sitting on the bench all season is too much. We would be lucky to get 25 for him
On the contrary, we paid more than that (including add ons) and over pay for players - we should be pushing English tax, we should be demanding 60million and accept 45million as a minimum. Have to change the mentality of selling players so we can buy better players.
@user-ij7gy3bs6c again it's down to mentality. Why sell for £25m when you can easily get £45m for him - clubs will pay. He may have sat on the bench all year - does that mean his quality is less? No. Raya is a preferred choice, not necessarily a better keeper.
Thank God you're not in charge of selling players. The days of letting players go for free are over. At minimum 45 million for Ramsdale otherwise he sits on the bench for another year. Where could you find a starting goalkeeper for 25 mil in this day and age ? Just because he's not starting doesn't mean he should be given away for free. The guy was a top 3 goalkeeper in this league in the season he did play.

i'm really gutted to be honest i don't want ramsdale to leave as i still prefer him to raya, i enjoyed ramsdale time with us, still think he could do stuff for us and a genuinely likeable guy, if he does go i hope he has a great season next season

Just a correction; this is Ramsdale's 3rd season at Arsenal. Arsenal should not entertain any discussions with Newcastle over Ramsdale that does not include either Isak or Guimaraes. To me, I will prefer Isak because I don't want Guimaraes at Arsenal. We stand the risk of facing Ramsdale more times than I will hope so we should also use this opportunity to get a player that elevates our team in the deal and can hurt Newcastle too.
What makes you think either player would want to join arsenal? Both have signed new contracts, bruno has a £100m release clause for a month or 2. Isak has just signed new contract and no release clause, you are not signing isak 100%, forget what you read it's not happening

No one knows if they will be open to joining Arsenal except the players and their agents. All my experience of players transfer, I will never say a player will never sign for one club.
