Alex has statistically and visibly better defense than Jiri while fighting better stand up fighters. 2 division glory world champ and you think he has more openings than Jiri. Idk how y’all even say some of the stuff you say. Pereria holds his hands low to throw quicker and harder especially with hooks. His length and height allow him to do this without getting caught.
Right?! We're finally in the position that we thought we were in post Jones leaving. First off there was Santos, who despite destroying his knees, gave Jones his toughest fight ever, (some say he even won), and was an absolute monster prior to that fight. Reyes did even better than Santos did against Jones and looked like another elite LHW. And then you had prime Jan, resurgent Glover, really underrated vet Volkan, and young guns like Rakic, Magomed, Hill, and Johnny Walker. Sadly, the guy who i though was gunna be the best, or at least most successful and eventual champ imo, in Thiago Santos - when he came back from destroying his knees he simply wasn't nearly the beast he was prior. Still a really good fighter, but definitely not elite level like he was before. Then Reyes gets killed by Jan from that point he developed a glass jaw. Johnny also started getting sparked out by everybody, Rakic goes down to a bad injury, then you had the draw between aging Jan and Magomed, and the injuries' to both Hill and Jiri - for a while there it felt like this division was cursed. But now that Alex moved up and Jiri's back, Rakic will be back soon, Walker's had a resurgence of late, Krylov's looking great recently, and though Jan's old i still think he's a dangerous dude and i could see him beating anyone in the top five - add that up and you got yourself a stacked division with a whole lot of parity. Plus then there's Roundtree - who's improved a lot recently, and combined with Jacoby, Murzakanov, Volkan, and Stann they make up a really solid second tier in the division. Hopefully nothing catastrophic happens, and if nothing does - we seem to have the division in the state that we expected/hoping it was gonna be two or so years ago. Kinda reminds me of the golden age of LHW back in the late 2000's, just before Jones came to dominance. When you had prime Rampage, prime Shogun, prime Machida, prime Shad, overachieving Griffin, prime Hendo and Vitor who both bounced between MW and LHW, and guys who may have been past their primes - but were still dangerous fighters who were at the time weren't past their primes by very much - in Chuck, Wandi, and Tito, and finally a bunch of good young up and comers and second-tiers guys like Anthony Johnson, Bones Jones, Cyril Diabate, Caine, James Irvin, Bonnar, Jardine, and Sokoudjou.
It hard to predict i kinda want alex to win and i can see him cliping jiri but jiri has that unbeatable aura idk how to say it it like he always finds way to win
@zdenekbacina4209 yea ppl think there's only alphas and betas. Most ppl are neither and are a combo of them all, mainly delta and gamma. A few chosen few are the Sigmas paving their own path and going their separate route
My bet is with Jiri Prochazka. What do yall think? Do you think Alex can fix his bad habits with leaving himself open?
Alex is very talented but Jiří is cold monster with crazy stamina. And always find a weak spot of opponent.
