- We've got one last day in Reykjavik, and we're soaking up the views from Sky Lagoon! After a scenic and relaxing soak in the thermal pools, we're heading downtown for some snacks, including a famous Icelandic pulsa hot dog from Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, rye bread ice cream from Cafe Loki, pastries from Brauð & Co, and more fun!! :D

My niece, husband and kids went to the Blue lagoon and the little eighteen-month-old did not want to leave! Pictures were beautiful!
Loved this! I have seen "Blue" so many times but this looked like a really scenic hot tub! What fun! Love that it was more affordable and relaxing with less folks!!

Love the rye bread and rye bread ice cream at Cafe Loki! The Icelandic rye bread is different from rye bread you get anywhere else. It is made with baking powder or baking soda, so it has a cake-like texture and is sweet. Yum!

Looks like a great adventure in Reykjavik. Renting a car seems necessary to get out and about if you are not staying right downtown or want to go to the thermal pools. You were brave to get in the cold water. Enjoyed following along and hope you get to go again at another time. I'm really looking forward to your next adventure, as we are booked for June '24 on the Ruby around the British Isles.

This is my favorite video of this trip. You made me want to go to this city and to Sky Lagoon! What is their food like? I looked at the snack section of the restaurant where you are, and it looked very interesting and very Icelandic and Viking type!

Just back our TA recommended the Sky Lagoon she preferred it over the Blue lagoon .Glad we took her advice I loved the Sky Lagoon and the ritual is fabulous . Of course the Blue Lagoon is closed now because of eruption. The plunge is great !!! not like me to do it but after a glass of bubbles I did lol . Loved my trip

Cold plunge reminds me of being in a hot tub while it's snowing outside at my friends home. It was 25 our, so running from the house to the hot tube then being wet to run back in the house.

Thank you for the videos of Island. I will be in Island, July 2024; NCL Star, 14 day cruise. I definitely will stay 2 to 3 nights before I fly back to USA.
We flew in 3 days early before our NCL Star cruise this year. We rented a car and went to the Westman Islands and the South Coast to the Glacier Lagoon. After the cruise we rented a car again and did the Silver Circle. This was our second NCL cruise to Iceland; we also did one last year. You definitely should come early and either do organized tours or rent a car either before and/or after your cruise! You won't regret it!
@jlloyd1077 Thank you for the information. Embarkation is in N.Y.C. so I am going to do NCL's post cruise stay when I disembark in Reykjavik. This will be my 1st time exploring Island & I will be a solo traveler. I want to acomplish..Sky Lagoon, an organized tour(s), and a food tour.
We had fun doing a walk about for about 30 mins to find the hot dog stand. We used hotel agents for directions since we were challenged by the street signs. They only serve 6" dog's, no specialty dogs, and it was great fun simply placing the order and eating the hot dog. It was an event 😊. Thanks for the video ✔️

Showers yes, changing facilities no. The showers had low doors, I should say. If you're tall, you can see over the doors.
How deep is that pool? Planning to be there in September.
At Sky Lagoon, probably four feet deep all around the heated lagoon area. The cold pool was only about three feet deep, it felt like.

Their official currency is the Icelandic Krona, so that should be what you would use. We just swiped cards everywhere we went!! :D
