What are yall talking about? Gil was exactly right in what he said. The unfortunate thing with comedy is that you can't really patent a joke. So if another comedic things he can take that joke and alter it and make it better its going to happen. Again it happens in alot of the entertainment industry especially with movies and music.

As a school librarian, I'm shocked people can't believe Katt read 3000 non-fiction books a year. Those books are small some ranging from about 20-60 pages🤔 I have students reading 10 of them in less than 30 minutes🤷🏾♀️ Katt was between 8-12 in a religious household with no extra curriculars. He had a lot of time to read

My mother was an avid reader. She hated TV and wasn't really into watching movies.
With that said. My mother would easily finish 500+ page books in one single evening.
She was into reading HUGE novels that would usually take people weeks to read and
she would finish them in 1/3 of the time. Katt was also most likely just guesstimating
and simply wanted to make it very clear that he's educated, he reads, and he's not the
dumb mother fucker that everyone tries to make him out to be. Whether he actually
read a few hundred, or three thousand, it doesn't really make that big of a difference.

Yet there are thousands of children who put in the same amount of work, and don't make it. So, why is it so hard to believe that a person can actually love reading? It's certainly not physical.

He said he read 3,000 books in 4 years,from age 8-12. That’s an average of 750 books/yr.I’m a fast reader myself and it’s possible that he was able to do so because his parents raised him in a strict Pentecostal household and he was never allowed to play with other kids,no extracurricular activities or joining the school band or allowed to perform in a school play,etc.He definitely had the time to read that many books. I’m a fast reader myself and am able to finish a James Lee Burke novel in 2 days easily. It’s very possible he was able to read that many books when he really wasn’t allowed to do anything fun but read.
And he started reading between 3-4 years old.

One important difference is that Kat is first and foremost a comedian. The people that he respects and the people that he puts on are by extension comedians. He's not looking to put people on as podcasters, actors, or whatever else you're thinking of a "successful" endeavor. He is a purist. He clearly has a love and respect for his artform. He genuinely looks for what he finds to be a good stand up comedian. If your measure is good looks and marketability then you speaking different languages.

I meant it in Katy's defense saying if he found the role offensive why would he th n send it on to his friend? He wasn't passing on the roles because he was on other projects he was passing because he didn't agree with certain things and writers and producers didn't want to make adjustments. If he didn't want to be a clown for money and fame, why would he put his friends in those spots.
Kevin has no problem playing these roles so of course he passes roles to his People because he has no objections or sees any issues. Katt did which is why he passed on the roles/opportunities.

Dave Chapelle talks about subjects as if he's challenging "them" but isn't really. That does take a sort of genius and "they" appreciate that. That's why "they" have dubbed him a comedic genius and let him stay out of the dress. Chappelle is greatly overrated. Chapelle's not funny.
