"PPCLI Regimental Quick March" is a march for Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry of the Canadian Army, the quick march contains snippets of other British marches, "Has Anyone Seen the Colonel", "Mademoiselle from Armentieres", and, "It's a Long Way to Tipperary".

My uncle was PPCLI from Korea until retirement in the early 70’s, though old bugger with a booming voice and a heart of gold! Miss you uncle Don! Patricias forever!

My nephew served with 3PPCLI and did two tours in Afghanistan.
He was wounded twice but survived.
Respect for ALL who serve or have served.🌺🍁🌺

I like the mix of The Old barbed Wire, It's a long way to Tipperary and.. eh... Mademoiselle from Armentieres? I'm more familiar with the two first song but they all echoing the Great War.

Interesting, there's also some hint of It's A Long Way to Tipperary

Well caught! There was also, immediately following, quotes from Mademoiselle from Armentieres. Putting this together with your cleverly spotted cue, it does seem quite a planned effect, a reminder of the First World War.
Thanks for the tec work. Made the piece so much more interesting!

My father was first a Para, then a Patricia. I’ve seen a few trooping of the colours growing up. Must have spent hours looking at that painting in the Sgts Mess of the Battle of Fresienburg.

It was an American pilot. He killed 4 troops and injured 8 others from 3PPCLI in Afghanistan 2002. It's called the Tarnak Farm incident you can look it up
