Also, if anyone lives in southern New Mexico, I'l need a ride at the end :) It's kinda in the middle of nowhere. And if anyone has a connection for a place to stay in Banff, that would be awesome!
If you don't get a ride Duzer I think John said a guy does a shuttle service from there I think thats what he said before he went to your house last year.
I’ll get ya!
Ha, that’s the part I never can figure out.
Maybe Patrick will be there? #bikesordeath #rideyourdambike
Best of luck brother! This is rad!
Remember what Lael once said, "if you need to cry, cry on your bike while eating a sandwich." Or in your case, a burrito!
Haha!! I hadn’t heard that but I LOVE it!!
@@duzer it was from her first (?) Tour Divide
Good luck!!!! No crashies no flatties and no whammies!!!
Say it louder!! I'll need all the help :)
The best part of the TDR is hanging out at the YWCA for a few days before the start and meeting all the other riders, the collective energy of the community is amazing. My advice to any TDR rider is to remember, your goal is to get to Mexico, not to be the fastest rider down the mountain. Stay out of the ER.
I got to meet Mathew Lee. He was very gracious, kind and generous with is time giving me route information and advice. I was in last place, I finished in 50 days. The TDR changed my life. I’m still bikepacking at 69 and yes I’ve done the HURACAN twice.
Love all this!! I'm so excited to meet everyone
Hey Ryan! We live in Calgary and hope to make it out to Banff to cheer you on! Let us know if you need anything. And we have a truck if you need a ride to Banff from the airport. You're the reason we got into bikepacking!
I hope to see you at the Grand Depart!
As an amputee cyclist, this is a bucket list item for me to accomplish. Might be after retirement, but I will get it done. Good luck Ryan!
I can't wait for you to experience this route!
Thank you for continuing to live a life of adventure. You encourage people like me to keep trying new things. I love your idea to "get out there." Thank you for sharing your journey, the highs and lows, but constantly moving towards people and adventure.
Thanks, this is truly a dream job
My husband and I rode a section of the GDMBR in 2019 and loved it so much we did a section again in 2021 and 2023. This year we are riding from Helena, Montana and hoping to get to Silverthorne, Colorado. We start July 7. I'm sure you'll be past that area by then.
Have fun out there!!! You'll be in my state :)
Ryan, my friend, my trail brother, YOU GOT THIS!!! We all have complete faith in you to absolutely crush this challenge. You’ve come so far and grown your skills so much since your first time on the Divide. I can’t wait to follow the dots, hear the stories, and see the adventures unfold. Win or lose, success or whammy, you have the support of all of us. Go do your best and pour your heart into it as you always do! Stay safe, keep the supple side down, no crashies, no flatties, and no whammies!!!
My man!! Thank you for the kind words. I'll pretend that all of you are cheering me on when I'm out there in the great wide open
@@duzer You won’t have to pretend, we will be cheering you on! 📣
@@printerror Awwww. I'll pretend that I can hear you :)
One thing to consider is, in this kind of event, you will meet people that move at your pace. Maybe someone to ride with on your next adventure.
I bet that I will
Good luck, Ryan! Can't wait to follow along on your adventure.
Thanks so much!
Super stoked to follow along on this one!
Aero extensions when used for comfort can be called "comfort bars," like the ones on my cyclocross bike that I converted to a gravel/bikepacking bike.
So excited for you and so grateful that you care enough to share. Cheering you on from the beautiful mountains and rivers of North East Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you so much!
The wind lives in New Mexico. It visits other places but always comes home!
haha, it sure does!
I'll be out there starting a day early. Going party pace. I'll be in Lower Lake Campground Thursday night, and Elkford Municipal Campground Friday night. Maybe I'll see you out there!
Would love to see you!!
Enjoy the ride
Being from New Mexico I love the journey you had through our state. I know the INDIGENOUS PEOPLE will love to see you again. An absolute gift to all. Buen Viaje!
Can't wait to visit NM again!! Love your state
@@duzer except for the wind. I got to tell you that when you had that burrito in El Rito made me drool,🤤
What's life without challenges?
I feel the same in so many ways ...
All the energy and love from Japan!
Thank you!!!
@@duzer omg! that means so much to me!
Thank you so much 😊
Mira shirt?! Best of luck on TD 🎉
Mira brings the good luck!! ;)
I'll be watching your dot!!!! Best of luck to you and most of all have fun and be safe!!!!!
Wow Ryan, that’s great! So happy for you! 💃🏻
You were my inspiration: I will start on July 2 (my 58 birthday 🥳) in Banff and do a part of the GDMBR. Thanks to you and John and Mira and your beautiful CZcams series. I am so excited and looking forward to it.
I wish you a great Tour and a lot of trail magic.
Love from Utrecht, the Netherlands 🇳🇱 😘👋🏻
You are about to have the BEST SUMMER EVER! Have fun out there
Woohoo!!! So excited for you Ryan! Good luck and stay safe. NO CRASHIES! NO FLATTIES! NO WHAMMIES! Sending you good vibes from Calgary AB!
Thanks so much!!
Safe travels, Ryan. Looking forward to your videos on this trip. Maybe one day I'll get a trip in like this.
Thanks! I’m so excited
Cool. I can't wait to meet you. I've been a fan of yours during this journey of preparing for the divide.
Right on, see you soon!!
Good luck Duzer, keep inspiring!
Thank you so much for inspiring me to do bikepacking. I started last year and last week i finished the Tuscany trail and now i am on the way back home to Switzerland since 6 days. It was and is so amazing. Thank you again. ❤❤❤
Wow!!! That must be so beautiful!! Enjoy your journey
Go for it. Just got my first ride in. Kind of hacky with iPhone only but got a feel what you need
Smart move, make it a race!! If you finish in 25 days you are the king. The race aspect is important and very intersting to watch.
@@peterschuster449have you done this race? It’s very epic
Thanks! I'm really looking forward to pushing myself
HE'S BACK! 🤩😎👍"On Your Own!" ~
Here we go!!
Good luck Ryan, from UK!
I will be watching your Dot as you progress along the route, and willing you on!
I'm doing the Panceltic ultra in England and Scotland on 6 July, so a fellow bike packer.
Like you, I want to enjoy it, and I certainly don't intend to sleep in a public toilet ,or ride all through the night(except on the first night when we have a 100 mile TT, and have to finish in time to get the morning ferry back to the mainland!)
Keep strong , and when you hit a bad patch and feel like death, dont give up. It will get better!😊
Have a great ride, Ryan! Looking forward to watching your updates. Enjoy Canada.
I will meet up with you when you get to New Mexico and ride a while...with burritos!
Can’t wait
Super cool. Good luck Ryan!
Rock on, Ryan! Have a most excellent adventure.
Thank you, Ryan. On my Facebook page and other places, I find posts of what is wrong with America and what is wrong with the “world.” I try to counter with what you call, “Trail Magic.” “Trail Magic,” is one these things that we need to see is good about America and what is good about the “world.”
Yes, trail magic is great, but not in a self-supported race that specifically forbids it. On your own, enjoy and appreciate the love! The trail is there for anyone at anytime.
I hear you!! Trail magic (on every level) is so needed right now.
@@twowheeladventures63 I'm going out there for the vibes and human connection. I'll gladly forfeit my official time
Yay! 🎉 Ryan's #1 let's go!
Awww, thanks, buddy!!
Excited for you. It will be epic and something to remember. Enjoy
Good luck. Looking forward to following along
Good Luck!! I can't wait to do the divide!!
See you in Banff and on the trail! I’m also planning on carrying a spare belt!
Right on!! Can't wait
You got this Ryan!! Very excited for you.
Let's us Duzer fans unite to support Duzer's Divide Challenge! Good luck sir!
Thank you so much!!!
SO EXCITED for you Ryan!!! This is amazing news and I love your approach - always inclusive and pushing yourself! Definite inspo here!! Eventually will do this and look forward to your increased learning of the route! Be safe and solid physically and mentally - welcome to Canada and GET OUT THERE!!! Will enjoy following!! 💪
Very excited for you and for us! ❤ wishing you well during your prep, and a safe journey as well! So cool!!
Such a huge ride. Can't wait to watch you do it. Love the t-shirt.
Can’t wait to watch! Your videos lift my spirit and make me want to get out there and ride! 🚴🏻♀️
So excited for you! I'll be staying in parks within a few hours drive of the route all summer so maybe I'll catch ya out there. Hope you have a safe, enjoyable, inspiration ride!
Thank you Ryan for all of your video content. I am or will be 69 or 70 when giving this a go. I too will try it in 25 days. Like many, would like to start with the pack to complete the sense of the many riders and the community. I too will prioritize sleep and a little more comfort over speed. As this moves closer to the starting date, am sure the butterflies are gaining momentum within all. Looking forward to the many stories yet to be told of this years race. Safe travels to you and all of the other folks taking on this challenge.
Butterflies are in full effect, but I’m loving it
Very excited for you, hermano. Go get ‘em! Wish I had time in my schedule to ride a piece with you.
you are amazing. wishing you the best of success and enjoyment in your Tour Divide adventure!
Good Luck! Have a great GDMBR!!!
Good luck! Looking forward to seeing your adventure!
Thank you!
I hope you pass through Hachita and stock up on supplies at Hachita Food Market. 😊❤
I'm sure that I will!!
Good luck Ryan! It should be an awesome adventure. Looking forward to following you on the Tour Divide.
Thanks, Rob! This is gonna be BIG!
Awesome T-shirt 🤗💕🐕
I wear it every single day! I’ll be thinking of you two while I’m out there.
Good luck Ryan! I wish I was closer to the route to go ride a day with you! You’ve inspired me to one day ride the GDMBR. I did my first solo multi night trip this year and I’ll be joining a friend shortly for a couple of days of his cross canada trip!
Best of luck on your next challenge!
I really enjoyed your vlogging of your Tour of Sweden, since that is my home. Looking forward to your videos from the Tour Divide!
Best of luck Ryan! I hope the cycling gods are with you! In August I am finally going to get to use my Priority 600X for a ride I had hoped to do in 2020 but couldn’t. 4 of us are going to Jasper and ride the Ice Fields Parkway to Banff. We will pick up the Great Divide Trail there and ride to Whitefish MT. At 72 I’m grateful to have the health and fitness to be able to undertake this adventure. I have learned a lot about off road bike packing from your videos. I have done road touring but this is my first off road experience. I know my days will always start off, no crashies, no flatties, no whammy’s! That seems to be the secret to having a great day! Again, best of luck on the race!
Sounds amazing!! I wish you all the best on your journey. NO WHAMMIES!
All the best for your journey!! I'm hoping that you will video your trip. Take care and have fun. 🚲🚲🚲
I will! Stay tuned
Excited for your new adventure!
Thank you!
Awesome news! Good luck! Enjoy your ride and the challenge. I'm looking forward seeing the videos about your experiences. The bike seems to be a real dream bike. I hope that I can buy it or some of its later versions in future. So it is really interesting to see how the bike works during the race.
Thanks, I'm sooooo excited!
Good luck and enjoy the adventure
So cool! My dream ride!
Good Luck Ryan, looking forward to seeing the adventure
Thanks 👍
I am very excited for you. Stay safe and stay strong. Can't wait to see what your adventure is like.
Thank you! Will do!
You're the man Duzer. Best of luck!
Wow so excited for you and you are gonna rock it!! Can’t wait to see the footage of the ride!

Have an absolutely wonderful time! Your videos are very inspirational.
Thank you so much!
It's a real blessing that you're able to do this. Have fun and thank you for always sharing it with us
Indeed!! I'm looking at this as a HUGE celebration
Good luck my man. Can´t wait for the upcoming series! 👍
Appreciate it!
So many years watching you, already have no idea. Nice to see that coming!! Have a great time there, i'll be watching! Go for it!!
Here we go!
Oh, you'll do fine. You got enough bikepacking experience that you can make up time on the ride with your ability to break camp fast, eat on the trail and find places to get water. Just you being you will put you ahead of many, even if you are not trying to race hard. Good luck buddy, maybe i'll see you again on RAGBRAI again this year!
Looking forward to seeing these videos thank you for sharing your adventure with us 🚴♂️
Good luck Ryan I’m excited for you and look forward to seeing your videos. Thank you for your motivation , in 2022 I did part of the divide all the way down to Wyoming thanks to you. Well anyway be safe .🚴♀️👍🏽
That's awesome!! I bet you loved it
Can’t wait to follow along! All the best and welcome to Canada 🇨🇦
The views coming into Banff are incredible.
I can't wait to experience your side of the divide
Wishing you all the best for your ride, Ryan. I got back into cycling last year after many years off the bike. By chance I stumbled across the first episode of your GDMBR series, and was hooked! And I also got hooked on bike packing, and spent the last year optimizing my bike and researching and buying all the kit I needed. I did my first trip a couple of weeks back and loved every second. I have you to thank for that, Ryan. Thank you for introducing me to the world of bikepacking, and for changing my life! Oh, and I am planning doing the GDMBR myself in 2026!
That series of Ryan’s videos also got me hooked! I live in Australia and will never get to ride GDMBR but we have the Munda Biddi Trail which is my goal in either 2025 or 2026.
Never say never. If it is in your heart to ride the GDMBR, make it happen! I live in the UK so will cost me a fortune, hence why 2026 as I need to save up for flights, time off work (self employed so no paid holidays) as well as the cost of doing the ride itself.
YAY!!! I'm so glad to hear that you're getting out there on your own adventures! You're gonna LOVE the GDMBR
This is awesome! Loved your Divide ride video and looking for to this one!
Thanks for taking me along, curious to see how the new bike does. Keep it simple and have fun ❤
I'm excited to try out the new bike on this route!
Hey, just be safe and have fun like you always do. You know, I ride my bike a lot now, but there are some things I will never have time for. So, thank you for going out there and sharing your experiences so we can enjoy that adventure.
How early will you be in Banff? The energy before the race was electric in 2022 and I’m looking forward to feeling that community again in 2024! Hope to see you out there!
I get there thje 12th
Be safe out there brother. I’m excited to see how this one goes for you. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, I’m pumped!
Good Luck!!!
Can’t wait to see some of your footage of that experience
Hard to believe it was 2020 when ypu rode the GDMBR! Best of luck for a very fun, safe and positive Tour Divide. Cannot wait to hear about it
Time flies…and now it’s time to do it again
Yes please 😊
Good luck😊
Gona ride the divide from 28 August and start ad lima ranch, where i straned 2 years ago
Looking forward to your flogs of the race
Yay good for you Duzer !! Look forward to following your experience :)
Stay tuned!! One week away
Good luck Ryan. Love your videos!!
Godspeed Ryan, finally back on the Dvide. I 've been crossing fingers for a long time you would be back for the whole trip. This gonna be awesome 🙂
Here we go!
Best to your ride! I know you'll have fun. Take care.
Thanks! I'm so excited
I wish you the best of luck! I also have to say a huge thank you. I completed my Moab ride today. I didn't do the White Rim, but I did do Podash- up Shaffer to Gemini Bridges and back to Moab. You inspired that ride and it was truly epic.
Right on!!! That whole area is so beautiful!!! Glad you got to experience it
Looking forward to following along Ryan! Your 2020 videos inspired a friend and I to ride the GDMBR in 2021. That led to many more bike packing adventures, including the Western Wildlands Route last summer. Riding the Tour Divide has been on my mind the past few years. Maybe your lead will help me push the go button once again!
So cool that you did the Western Wildlands route, I wanna ride that someday
You will do great! Have a blast and enjoy the route. Positive vibes ☮
Thanks, so excited!
Right on Ryan can't wait to see the ride 🙏👍
HERE WE GO! Ryan, I start a personal journey of my own in a couple of days I will be watching you for motivation. I wish us both luck.
I wish you luck on whatever you have going on.
I wish you all the best on your journey
Ryan, enjoy this to the fullest. I'm sure you can't wait to push off.
This is going to combine old and new experiences alike. Olé Olé Olé🎉
Indeed! My 20 years of traveling by bike will no doubt come in handy
Excited for you!
So excited for you Ryan. You have been such an inspiration to me over the years. I’m back on a bike at 60 and hope to ride some of these epic trails soon. 600 ADX on order. Have a great ride!!!
Glad to hear that you’re riding again!! So happy for you. You’re gonna love the ADX
Ryan, it was your first run down the divide in 2020 that got me onto your channel. Keeping track of your sub's, I suspect I was not alone. This new ride with the "official GDMBR" is something that I can't wait to see. I wish you nothing but success, happiness and of course....NO WHAMMIES. Peace.
Thanks, I'm really looking forward to it!!
Good luck Ryan, god speed
Super cool! Good luck and be safe on your journey. Remember that sometimes the spice of life can make your eyes water and sometimes it adds that flavor you need. Make it spicy my friend.
OOOh, I like this quote!! Thanks for sharing. SPICY!
