- XDefiant is now out of the last play test and back into the waiting game for the game's full release. When that will be, we don't quite know, but it's sometime upcoming and if reports are to believed, it's eyeing another summer release window here, hopefully for real this time around. But déjà vu and the potential memes of "I'll see you in another year" for the launch, I think there's an important discussion to be had about the hurdles still facing the game. Yes, it's awesome that we're getting a free to play, arcade shooter, no cost to us that we can grind out. Yes, it's awesome that in an industry that prioritizes SBMM and player retention as much as it does lately, it's awesome to not have that be an integral part of the game. Yes, it's awesome to have any sort of competition in an industry that can push all parties involved to hopefully be better and create a better product for players but beyond that? Like actually beyond the surface, what keeps you around? @@acev3521 it would allow them to make a great game despite the issues. Look at how successful fortnite became by keeping it in a beta.
The only issue I had in the last play test was the fact the ttk was kinda all over the place. As in I got a few fast kills 25% of the time, while the rest I was dying too fast as if it were one shot kills with an SMG. I have good faith they will address this with a few other stuff, and I hope we get a release date soon.
And the balancing is dogshit, this game is mid and its gonna die in a month lets be honest, it feels like a cheap black ops 4.

How do you think the next battlefield will be? I have hope tbh cuz they turned 2042 TF around. But it also shouldn't have ever been released in that condition so who knows
Game has potential but it needs to come out bro, they already missed such a huge hype window and every week they drag this out, the more and more people I see lose intrest. The net code is still a problem, but they delayed it for over 6 months and it’s still the same if not worse for some people. I really want this game to do well but I really hope their handling of launch doesn’t set a precedent for post launch, because this game is going to die within months if they don’t change something.
I can’t wait til the end of the year when they’re still working on bugs and netcode issues, next years server test is going to be awesome!

I’d like to see something worth playing for. Hopefully the ranked grind is exciting as I don’t believe any game should only be played for the sake of unlocking stuff. Games should be exciting to play as well as having an in-game grind
I absolutely loved this game and had a great time. It felt great, TTK was a little weird for me, sometimes I melted someone sometimes I got melted ect, but I think it’s close to being great.

I don't see the PC Gaming community being open to playing this game as its exclusive to Uplay and will not be coming to Steam anytime soon where as COD will always be available on steam so they would be more likely to play that over a free to play game that is exclusive to a launcher that isn't steam.
Chances are they go down the same MTX model as Riot with Valorant

Gulf war trailer will come out and all talk involving this game will vanish. They had a massive window and missed their chance.
Fixing the netcode, hit detection will be a challenge, the netcode in DEFAULT is BAD in Snowdrop engine. It's even worse in The Division 1 and 2.
I don’t think I’ll ever play the game when (or if) it fully launches, but I really like the weapon attachment system. A perfect balance between the simplicity of old CoD and the customization of Gunsmith. Hopefully Activision takes some notes…
Great content on x defiant but personally just getting bored of hearing the same things over and over when’s it coming out, they’ve got this and that fix. I was really looking forward to the release but kinda over it now.
Im literally re downloading COD just because XDefiant has given me a void in FPS and I need to fill it somehow... plz just release the game already

man an easy anti cheat is just having mods like a twitch chat and having an anti cheat running with them. also IP banning people, not just account banning. making them have to buy vpns to hack, adding more cost, which will only make more people stop or go somewhere else and do it.

The easiest and most effective way to combat cheating, at least for console players, is to simply enable "Console-Only Cross-Play" and give the "PC Master@Cheating Race" their own dedicated Player-Pool... >99% of the cheating problem solved right there!
I feel like this game is dead on arrival its going to be fun for a week maybe a month then fall off we know what were getting is vary dry the game STILL isnt out and for all we know it wont be out for months they've been saying soon for over a year and there track record with releasing if vary bad so theres a good chance we get delays on the seasons to
