    Getting beamed straight to the bridge is the 24th century version of your mom using your middle name.

    Always loved the expression Mariner has her face after her Mom beams them back up,it just screams “ We are in so much trouble!”

    The scene that make me fan of this series.
    I really hope this doesnt happen in the future, not even in far far future, to any individual of any species.

    Although Boimler only reveal to Mariner that he found out her secret that Captain Freeman is her mother, but the entire Cerritos listening to their conversation especially Captain Freeman who is really pissed off with all this. I don't know what happened after the screen cut to the intro but I bet Captain Freeman had some severe words with Boimler for finding out that Mariner is her daughter and now thanks to him everyone in Cerritos now know Mariner's secret .

      Honestly it was no one's fault that the crew found out.

    • @aidanadkins5922
      @aidanadkins5922 Před 8 měsíci +15

      I mean, not only did Biomler find out by accident, it was the Captain's choice to broadcast that interaction to the whole bridge instead of just contacting them privately. Biomler even promised to keep it between them, so this isn't on him at all.

    Those must be some top quality transporters. Boimler was transported without even being aware of it. You would think there would be some sensation if your molecules were being disassembled, moved through a matterstream, and reassembled. But I feel like anyone on the Cerritos would laugh at me and call me "caveman" for thinking that.

    Why don’t they just trash the computer thing?

    • @Mourtzouphlos240
      @Mourtzouphlos240 Před 7 měsíci +6

      It was the 1960s, the only people who understood computers worse than Star Trek writers was the American Public. Also Gene Roddenberry believed in "using your words" and they couldn't afford to smash the props like that.

    • @redrasegarden
      @redrasegarden Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Mourtzouphlos240 ok, but why don’t they now? There has got to be something in the prime directive about just leaving something like that operational, I think it would make more sense to just blow it up or something so they don’t have a repeat occurrence of what happened the first time they visited.

      @@redrasegardenBecause this time around it's a comedy that's specifically calling out the obvious oversight from the original. That's why there's a comically ineffective "Do not obey" sign with Star Fleet insignia on Landru

    • @redrasegarden
