@@zygas25thing I like about that game is that the characters in it treat pokemon as actual threats. If any sane person came across an aggressive animal with blatantly supernatural powers and knew what it could do they'd be terrified.
They're really very clever with the subtle hints in the show. Like Mariner thinks that the Moopsy's little butt-wiggle is cute. But any cat owner could tell that's a sign that it intends to pounce. Likewise, the Humans show absolutely no enthusiasm at the presence of Human Starfleet officers, which is a clue that they're really not in any hurry to be "liberated".
0:56 & 1:02 Clever. I didn't notice it on first viewing and it is a split second but you can see the umbrella in the human exhibit is already upside down. Oh and at 0:12 you can seem them tinkering to unlock the Moopsy cage.
I love that the moopsy has become an instant fan favourite. I remember when watching this episode that when I 1st saw the moopsy my 1st thought was “I bet this is the deadliest *%$)*@$ thing in the galaxy.”
Seasons 3 & 4 are easily making Ransom one of my favorite characters. He's still an arrogant jerk at times, but seeing how he starts to respect Mariner and pushes her like a supportive teacher shows that he's a good officer deep down. You especially saw this in the season 3 finale since, even when he thought Mariner said all of that bad stuff to reporter, he still felt that transferring her off the Ceritos was too extreme of a punishment.
I knew it was more to him since season 1 ,when they showed his mission to Romulus with Tendi "the Cleaner" and his 3 black ops buddies, that were all bigger than him, but they still respected him. That took guts AND brains to pull off. He was very wellcoming to Tendi and he saved his wounded Andorian buddy and the alien in the crate. He plays stupid sometimes intentionally, just like cpt.Kirk, to see what the others do. His relationship with Mariner is complex, they have a repressed attraction between them and he always tried to help her in his way. He even forgave her and never punished her when she put a scorpion in his bed that nearly killed him, Mariner bragged about it to cpt Ramsey who is rightly shocked. Back then he didn't even know who her parents were. However he realizes they are both not ready for a romantic relationship. Dr.Meeglemo is the worst psychiatrist in the Fleet, in my opinion, they should really get better help...
The thing that makes Ransom fun is that he's straight up just as good as Riker (the character he parodies) except that he lacks Riker's charisma or confidence in dealing with superior officers. Ransom's honestly too good at his job for the kinds of grunt work the Cerritos does but he's so awkward he probably gets overlooked in favor of other capable officers who have better social skills.

Well, he's not her partner ( yet 😁), that's her superior officer, and he would be right to suspect her, as she has a long history of insubordonation and pranks, so freeing Moopsy would be something she could have done. All that day she did stuff to provoke him, including not showing up in uniform and speaking arrogantly to him in front of enseign Gary, but he knows her games by now and resisted. Back in season one, she bragged to her friend cpt Ramsey that she had put a scorpion in his bed that nearly killed him, and he didn't punish her for it, despite not knowing back then who her parents were. So either he is too forgiving ,or he has been having feelings for her for quite a while.
