Got the cutaway version of this and had it 3 years and its still going strong. I did upgrade the tuners to Gotoh’s just for my own personal taste but besides that it has never let me down and has a great warm sound

Whats the difference between this (being about $50 cheaper) and the GD20? They both have solid cedar top and the split bridge. Is it the fact that the GN has the NEX body, and the GD is a Drednought?

I had the cut-away version. For my taste the Cedar/Mahogany combo was too dark-sounding but other than that I can recommend because it was a pure joy to play. Very well made instrument.

I have this guitar for 2 years. and there is only 1 think what I dont like just its very hard to be more loud then the guitar when you play. :D But I really like you can play every type just like fiingerstyle spain or chords... This guitar is good for everthing. love takamine

Takamine describe this body shape as "compact" but it looks pretty decently sized to me, almost "fat"....is it? Great sound, good video!

I tried one of these last week and loved the sound. Thinking of buying 1 as a second guitar. I love the cedar/mahogany combination. The only thing that puts me off is a cedar top without a pickguard. Does that come with these as an option?

I have owned for years and bought a pickguard and put it on myself.

GET THE GN 30...THE LIKES OF GN 10 NS..NOT solid top ... They have a select Spruce top which means the spruce is about notebook paper thick the rest is plywood are Basswood... Basswood is a very soft wood.. very easy to dent just no good

Why is the assumption that less expensive guitars are for beginners ? I know plenty of hack guitar players with expensive guitars. Ask the three or four chord Martin crowd about that fact. In this video there was a hint about the low end (bass response) on this guitar. Ben said that it will "open up over time." OK that should tell you that the low end (bass) is kind of minimally adequate. Most of what he focused on here was toward the high end of the guitar (including picking more toward the bridge.) If you're looking for bass response, this might not be what you're looking for. Of course a bigger box will give you more bass. That is the trade off with smaller box guitars (unless they are saavy like Blue Ridge, see the BR-43, and scallop the bracing, etc, to bring out the bass.)

You cannot go wrong with either of these:
      1. Gator ATA Molded Guitar Case - w/TSA latches for Acoustic Guitars
      2. Gator Deluxe ABS Molded Case - Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar

Your vids are good and helpful, but you should totally not keep having the cuts to the second camera. The cutting between camera 1 and 2 when you talk is like a 'hard-hitting interview' style of filming. Just talk to the camera only, it is way more personable, and makes you look less blind during the third person cuts.
