I love this response! So true, and if you try to eat them while driving, count on losing at least 25 calories due to crumbs that get lost in your lap! I have a removable seat cushion I shake out every now and then, someone laughed when a couple of gummy bears fell out and they said, "kids are so messy!"
My 60 year old self (who has no grandchildren) just smiled and said, "Aren't they?"

Happy new baby, Momma! You will never regret giving your child a healthy boost by feeding how nature intended. I'm proud of you and your love for your family.
Breastfeeding is absolutely the best thing you can do for your child, and it's worth whatever loss of fullness happens afterwards.
My son got very sick right after he was born in 1992, it was group B strep and he was immediately put in NICU and given a 25% chance of surviving his first day. I wasn't allowed to hold him, but I insisted they give him my pumped breast milk (colostrum) instead of formula. One male doctor told me it would make no difference (idiot!), but EVERY nurse in the NICU told me I was giving my baby his best chance to fight that infection! I was so glad I bought a pump before he was born, it likely saved his life.
"For the first few days after your baby's birth, your body will make colostrum, a nutrient-rich "pre-milk." Colostrum (kuh-LOSS-trum) has many benefits, including nutrients that boost a baby's immune system and help fight infection."

I never understood that whole new mom shaming thing. Maybe because I grew up with my brother, cousins, and friend’s siblings being breastfed and having been breastfed myself it was the norm. Plus when my ex was breastfeeding our kids, she was never more idyllic and beautiful. Maybe it’s a bonding thing for the hubby/dad to enjoy that visual but loving family (and hating what has happened to mine), I really enjoy (not in a creepy/sexual way) seeing natural love, care, and affection and it doesn’t get more pure than a breastfeeding mother. For the granola bar thing I think I have a guess. Measuring "calories" is not an accurate , or even precise, thing to do. They probably round up, or down the numbers averaged over several experiments ... so 1 bar might average to 96 calories and they rounded to 100 .... but 2 bars would be 192, in this case, so they rounded to 190.

"It really doesn't look good, does it?" Okay, but why do people have to be so concerned all the time about how things look when they're doing something innocent like checking their phones? There's a Internet famous photo of a group of teenagers at the Louvre (I think) all sitting on a bench checking their phones while in the presence of great art. The caption, of course, is something about what a disgrace it is that they have this once in a lifetime experience and they're looking at their phones. The thing is that they were on a school trip accessing an interactive website setup by the Louvre because their teacher told them to. You might say, "Yeah, but it looks bad." And who decided to shine a light on how it looked? Not the kids, but the asshat who took the picture. No one but that couple has any idea why they were looking at their phones. Who even took the picture and posted it? Was it staged? Or was that just an incredible invasion of their privacy? What if their car had broken down and they were both contacting people to let them know. Should they have framed it better so that 'it looked good'?

Well that Thanksgiving, my brother was talking about how his then 16 year old daughter was in trouble for constantly drinking with her friends and she's been grounded for the next month. About 3 weeks later, I was scrolling on tiktok and came across a video of her drunk with her friends and singing songs with racial slurs in it and so I texted my brother. Is [name] allowed to be with her friends yet or drink? And he goes "no why?" and I sent him the tiktok.

Social media would have encouraged you to line the walls with photos in your house. The sheer amount of 'sharing' does make it seem like you're getting a peek into someone's life... but of course all anyone is doing is fabricating the story of their life to smooth out the rough edges. Pictures in a hallway are snapshots in time that persist.. they may spark a happy event or conceal an awful day of studio photography, but social media is vapid and discardable. You exist to someone else as a fleeting acknowledgment and this happens thousands of times to billions of people. So if you present your life as a series of carefully crafted pictures or videos, despite your life being a hot mess, no one has the time or the desire to call you out on your bullshit. We 'like' and let the app move us along to the next carefully crafted series of pictures.
There are stories behind the framed pictures in the hallway. But social media just wants engagement - it doesn't care how you do it and encourages you to be as vapid as the platform itself.

Even spinal cord injuries can be incomplete. I know a quadriplegic that can walk. 🤷‍♀️. Paraplegics can sometimes transfer by standing. And please no one ever accost someone in a parking lot for using the disabled parking and "don't look disabled". If they have a sticker/placard, leave them alone. Not all disabilities are visible. They 'Say' breastfeeding doesn't make your breast saggy. But I fed for a year and a half. Went from size c(prepregnancy) back to a size c... but way less firm and fluffy. Lol love yourself and love others just the way their body is. Make fun of someone for things they can change. Like being racist or an asshole.

Absolutely! Mom bods are beautiful! Breastfeeding is absolutely the best thing you can do for your child, and it's worth whatever loss of fullness happens afterwards.
My son got very sick right after he was born, it was group B strep and he was immediately put in NICU and given a 25% chance of surviving his first day.

The Jake Paul fight thing was so weird to me. Especially the weigh in photo. Just because he doesn't have defined muscle does not mean he does not pack a punch. This might have been a scam but that photo was no evidence.

The Jake Paul - Ben askren fight was a travesty with new lows being reached both on and off the boxing ring with even Ben's wife not spared . As for Charlotte being attacked with slippers by her nonna , as an Asian man i can confidently state that we have had years of experience dodging missiles our mothers sent our way when were growing up 😁 . Happy to see Charlotte had a similar experience .

@@deathsecretary2055 glad to know even Mexican families share the "slipper tradition" . 🙂 . Any object becomes a guided missile in our mothers hands . Don't know how they account for our dodging but the slipper (or any other object ) unerringly reaches the intended target . But i don't imagine it is common in American and European families 🤔 .

I went to an all women’s college. No sororities. And every reading period the school would get us a bouncy castle, tons of sweets and the local church made us midnight pancakes with bacon. Lemme tell ya. We ALL ate that shit up. No qualms. Ngl not having men around was the best way to do college.
