Why They Stopped Building Statues on Easter Island

Easter Island is one of the most isolated islands in the world. Once, it was covered with forests filled with different trees and ferns. But when the first humans came to the island around 400 CE, the forests slowly began to disappear. And starting from 1250 CE, Moai Statues began appearing all over the place. People made them from different types of rock: compressed volcanic ash, basalt, trachyte, and red scoria. Then, at some point, they stopped, and it's interesting to know why.

Deforestation .. 🙄 uhh, this wasn'tthe cause of everything. Yet it was a symptom of, how about a gigantic flood. It explains the loss of all the trees, the sudden stop in construction with tools left behind, the toppling of many statues, some ending up IN the ocean (this wasn't ocean at that time but was land that had been covered as sea levels would rise), the sea bird becoming the main animal on the land, etc. Prior to the flood, there was access to this land, which is why there were other animals in the first place, as well as trees and grass. Just like many other things, places, and civilizations that randomly disappeared in an instance, this is why. Also why you can find fossils of sea shells high up in places like the Appalachian mountains. Thank you. I win.

in the philippines our ancestor built same miniature statue and we called it bulul...the austronesian people are advance in seafaring and they invented the outrigger canoe that enables them to travel farther
