- This is in my opinion, the best voice acting in a video game ever, better then halo, the last of us, uncharted, even Mass Effect. I feel like this game, even though it wasn't the best overall, had superb voice acting. I don't know if it's the fact that LucasArts develped and published this game or if they just have better equipment but in my opinion this game is AWESOME... Suggest a Rent, atleast! I love these games which are excellent entertainment, but I never considered them as canon, we are very far from the nobility and subtlety of Star Wars, the guy still manages to crash a Star Destroyer and mastered Powerful powers, we are closer to Dragon Ball Z than to Star Wars at that level. Then we will not hide that the scenario is not very sought after ...

As great of a voice actor as Sam Witwer is, I don't think we should dismiss Matt Sloan's contribution to this scene as Darth Vader.

What I love about Sam Witwer's voice acting is, he doesn't limit the voice to "sound right" in a show or game, it he goes realistic and all out, it's very noticeable with his screams.
I couldn’t figure out what separates Sam in my mind from other actor’s portrayals of characters. And you’ve summed it up brilliantly! Thank you! :D You’re absolutely right!! This is why he’s awesome. He gets into his roles like no other.
Should watch an interview he did with James Arnold Taylor who plays obI Wan in clone wars. Sam talks about how he got the role of star killer it’s interesting. If you ever seen the behind the scenes where he voice maul as well he’s also very physical with I think adds a lot to his performance.

I also like to think that he was saying that to himself as well as at this point Anakin is gone and Vader is all that's left as Anakin was dead in a way and so that's true for vader to as Padme also loved a dead man and she would have never loved Vader.

I also like jar jar as up til that point (imo) everything was just Too serious all the damn time, and an injection of (admittedly forced) levity into the situation helps balance it out. Really that how I see most of the prequel comedy.

It's a shame the game was as lacklustre as it was because Sam never fails at nailing his roles. They at least owe it to his performance to create a decent game that doesn't feel unfinished

The problem was they switched developers part way through, that's why (in my opinion) the first half of the game has better built levels and cutscenes/boss battles. But the ending is still awesome!
The ending really shows how rushed this game was. It feels like this was supposed to be the end of act two, not the entire game. It shouldn't have just killed you off if you chose to kill Vader, but rather should have shown what the dark side (and negative moral decisions in general) does to the main character. Having a separate final act for each choice. One where an evil version of the player overthrows the empire mercilessly, and eventually becomes even worse than them, or one where Vader is taken prisoner, and The main character has to fight the perfected clone of himself in the end, so he can truly confront the dark side which has always been part of him. There's not really a better metaphor for overcoming his own demons then fighting the clone of who he used to be.
"Main character fighting his evil clone" has been done kind of in the first game's DLC.
It always bugged me how the evil clone isn't around in the light side ending.

It's cause it was very rushed and had less time to be worked on which wasn't their fault.
I know I’m necroposting. But honestly when I was 11 years old, this game genuinely made me want to get into animation and 3D design... sadly I’m shit at art and I discovered quickly that graphics design is not a viable route for me to go. It was my first real dream job however. When people asked me what I wanted to become when I grew up, I said an animator, mainly in part to the incredible visuals this game had which inspired me.

Starkiller's lightning looks 50 times stronger than palpatine
Everyone talks about how great Sam Witwer is, but the one who did Vader in these games were awesome. Every time he scolds Starkiller about Juno I can hear that he's reflecting his feelings of Padame onto Starkiller and Juno. The sheer anger and subtle regret and how he uses it to fuel himself and trying to force the same fate onto Starkiller still give me goosebumps. So underrated.
As much as I love this game with all my heart, seeing it now is kinda weird that vader can use lightning, let alone survive all those lightning strikes from starkiller.
And it makes starkiller look a tad too powerful if him and his clone have both defeated vader.
Starkiller is that powerful though
I feel like it should be a luck thing for star killer. He can only win if he gets lucky.
If you read the novel for The Force Unleashed, the power scaling and feats for Starkiller are explained much better.
Canonically Vader can actually create storms. He’s exceedingly powerful even with that suit hindering almost every aspect about him other than physical strength.

Sam Witwer was the one doing Maul in TCW '08 and Rebels and had a short appearance in Solo with Ray Park doing him.

Accually I think that Vader kinda wanted to help Starkiller. He said many times to forget about her, let Galen’s feelings go, and that his feelings for her are not real. Maybe that’s because deeply inside Vader knows how it is to suffer because of the person you love, and he wanted to let Starkiller be free from this

Sam Witwer is a legend. Very convicted and passionate in his voice acting. This is one of the most epic endings to a video game EVER. I get chills every time I hear “YOU’VE TAKEN EVERYTHING FROM ME!”

I saw a BTS video for TFU 1 where Sam says Starkiller is what would have happened to Luke if he was raised by Vader in the dark side. Vader's voice at the 1:27 mark, as he progressively gets more and more demanding in his tone signifies this.
Also, using Juno to control Starkiller because Vader deep down remembers what it was like to be in love as Anakin, you can tell by the way he talks as well.
I know how to make starkiller canon again that would perfectly fit into the Star Wars timeline. It’s quite simple, actually. As least for the first game it is
