- #amd #ryzen #7800x3d - We're approaching the end of the journey - hello and welcome back to Part 4 of my Building Dream Gaming PC series. Today, I tackled the CPU. We installed one of my absolute favorites, the AMD RYZEN 7800X3D. Just an insanely awesome chip for a fitting price.
After installing the chip with angelic hands, I prepared the motherboard for my AiO (NZXT Kraken X53 RGB) and made the initial connections. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I'm doing, but it'll work out somehow. For better cable management, I also got the Fan & RGB Controller from NZXT, so I can keep everything away from the motherboard as much as possible.

Hi bro, I heard air cooling is ok for 7800x3d so I got the deepcool ak620 but now all videos I see on CZcams have liquid cooling... Have I made a bad choice? My build is 7800x3d, 4080 super, 32 gb 6000mhz ram and 850w psu

I think they love to use water coolers for the rgb and look.
I recently bought the 7800x3d with a noctua nh-d15 cooler, but a any good air cooler will do since this cpu is so power efficient.

"Our highest average power measurement for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D was 86W, showing that it runs well below the rated 120W TDP. "
Even at max power -> 120W is easy for a good air cooler.
You can set the cpu on eco mode in the bios to make it run at max efficiency with only a small loss in performance if you wish.
If you want to check your cpu temp, it's easy.
