      That would have been amazing
People would be confused why people possessed by Jason don’t act much like Jason but this random guy seems to nail him.
hodder should have played a bigger role, like Jason’s half brother then he’d be the main focus playing a normal dude then gets possessed and people would be confused why this dude seems to be possessed by Jason MORE than the others. Jason needs to possess a relative to be reborn, if Hodder was his relative then it be part of the story that jason is Kane Hodder under the mask.
Then Hodder unmasked but possessed could put on a hockey mask and people (unfamiliar with Hodder) would experience the uncanny valley effect. The people who know Hodder and like him would see it as an inside joke, a tribute of sorts.
He could take Hodder’s body and dawn a hockey mask and when have a new unscarred jason that walks and moves just like the old one and when his mask gets knocked off in a struggle we’d see Kane Hodder beneath it.
Kinda like in Chucky when Tiffany possesses Jennifer Tilly.
Same person, voice, personality etc but now the actor doesn’t need to do extensive make up.

Regardless of what Adam Marcus says, "Evil Dead" cannot co-exist with Jason. In "A Nightmare on Elm Street," Nancy is watching "The Evil Dead" on television. Ergo, in Jason and Freddy's shared universe, Ash and "Evil Dead" are fictional. The Necronomicon can exist with Freddy and Jason because that was H.P. @@ConstantineFurman Not to mention "Friday the 13th Part III" is shown playing in theaters when Ash and Kelly travel back to 1982 in 'Ash vs Evil Dead' establishing that Friday the 13th and Jason for that matter is also fictional eliminating any and all possibilities that Jason Goes to Hell or any Nightmare on Elm Street exists in the 'Evil Dead universe' as anything other than films. Jason Goes to Hell isn't even a sequel to the original 8 Friday the 13th films that came before it and is only used to set up 'Freddy vs Jason' with Freddy's cameo. It's more along the lines of being part of the Nightmare franchise than anything taking place after Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, which would make sense considering that New Line Cinema purchased the rights from Sean Cunningham who bought the rights from Paramount in the early 90s. As for the Necronomicon, there could be a version that exists in the New Line universe of Jason & Freddy, but it couldn't possibly have anything to do with the established franchise or lore of Evil Dead. Anything that says otherwise like comic books or Adam Marcus' poor explanation is complete headcanon at best.

This was one of the best edited reactions so far, I feel like I got the whole experience. He even snuck in some of the more charming scenes. Dialogue with the key throw, the shots were filmed competently and stylized and comedy from the guy and the cop beating eachother up like brothers. This is the body horror I remember from my childhood of these movies. Original Friday 13nth was much more subdued. Mrs. was literally me looking at these scenes, great audience stand in emotionally being annoyed.
I didn't comment on Doctor Sleep because I think it's perfect and goes without saying. Didn't think to comment on Haunting Hill house because that show from what I remember is great. Been watching and enjoying silently. It's been a long week for us Federal workers on the frontline and these reactions are cinema therapy while we can't catch a break. Thank you. Really.
I think you'll like Freddy Vs Jason, it delivered a much more urban and intentionally corny plot at times but stays true to an original telling. Kills, gore and scene composition is some of my favorite use of literal atmospheric elements in a horror flick since I watched Guillermo Del Toro's Shape of Water. Symbolism delivery and hokeyness you expect from horror are all there. And that band opening song was pretty great too. Hat's off to Mr. Movies for this one. After you get through these Classics and the daring aging plots and sharpening of quality over time...thank you for your service Mrs. Movies. It gets better, your list is robust.

Nah, this movie is horrible! They don’t even explain how Jason gets back to crystal lake from nyc and back to his original form from being a kid in the toxic waste. And no female is gonna volunteer to be the decoy to lead Jason into the woods fbi or not. She should’ve been dead a couple of times. The 2nd coroner walking in and seeing the guy with blood on his mouth and face raises no suspicion, not even to the guards (Kane hodder my favorite Jason go figure) Jason gets 5 min of screen time and we don’t know when he got these jumping into other bodies power cuz he could’ve did that in part 4 when tommy killed him if that was the case. And the playing with Steven in the yard long enough for Jessica to get the sword was irritating. It’s Jason, he kills period! And Jessica is the worst mom ever leaving her baby with everyone. Besides that one kill in the tent from the coroner Jason the movie was bad.

So, this one has a lot of baggage to unpack.
Firstly, it IS part of the continuity, despite what some people try to make themselves believe. Jason’s charred mask and deformed head show that he was still hit by the toxic waste in New York and then recovered enough to head home. And the vents of Freddy vs Jason will show how Jason came back despite this one pretty much slamming the door on him.
Secondly, it shows that Jason was always supernatural, likely through his father, Elias Voorhees, who had another child with another woman, who ended up being Jason’s half-sister (they don’t mention the half part). Jason likely inherited some kind of curse through his father’s bloodline, and that dagger had something to do with that bloodline, or at least it was made to deal with similar undead creatures. Special note: if you consider that Jason was 11 when he drowned, meaning that he was born in 1946 (same year as Freddy, btw) and go by the dates on his mother’s headstone in part 4, then Jason’s mother was 16 when she gave birth to him. Wonder what the story was there, and why Elias eventually abandoned his much younger bride.
Also, it’s ironic that Jason despised sexual activity of any kind because of how it led to his original death, yet this movie shows that, lacking his original body, he has to perform a bodily fluid exchange in order to get another body. Talk about not practicing what you preach.
Finally, I have always believed that after this movie came out, the character of Creighton Duke should have been given his own movie. A prequel, showing how he became a bounty hunter, perhaps even his own series. I think it would have been awesome. Alas, the actor who played him is too old for that now, and I wouldn’t want a younger actor in the role; that guy was perfect.

I read somewhere once that in the Jason Goes to Hell Universe, the previous movies (Friday 1-8) were based on Jason's real life exploits. Hence why in the beginning of this movie, the Feds had a sting operation to lure him out into the open and kill him. So its like we have been in the Jason Goes to Hell universe the whole time, as the audience watching movies this whole time based on a real life serial killer in Crystal Lake. It explains why the whole supernatural and body swapping thing were not included in the movies as nobody knew that he could do that because there had been no reports of such activity.

I’ll say that even though the concept is a bit out there, I really do like how they have Jason going all over the town. From the diner, the police station and back to his childhood home. I just wish it was in his real body and not disguised as someone else, kinda kills it for me.
The director really wanted to tie this one to the Evil Dead movies and make Jason a Deadite. Not sure why exactly. But they didn’t have the rights to that so the Necronomicon and the dagger are just Easter eggs. Which I’m actually glad because I just can’t see Jason as a Deadite. It would kill everything he’s got going on and he’s just more interesting as he is instead just saying “Oh, well he’s a Deadite…”
    Plus he’s nothing like one.
But despite all of that this one has grown on me over the years. Oh and Duke was actually supposed to be Tommy Jarvis, which is how he knows so much about Jason and says “remember me?” But again, didn’t have the rights to the character.
The tent kill was probably the best of the movie too.
