There are so many small ones like this in caves that are just on the floor because they have broken off that I love the fact they polish and look so amazing, giving them new life. Rather than just getting trampled on the cave floor or just left to sit like their beauty doesn't matter because they are no longer hanging or attached. Wonderful job, they look beautiful!

exquisically amazing! The only thing I know about cave rocks is: Some grow from the ground up and the others grow from the ceiling down ... keeping in mind that the last time I have ever heard about cave rocks was more than sixty years ago when our geography lessons featured a family that was traveling around the United States on "vacation", that lasted for nine months in grade school! Hats off to the guy that thought cutting and polishing these rocks would be useful or artistic for anything.
The inside of these rocks remind me of lace - - and/or petrified coral ... really!!! Really amazing! ... they also remind me the sixties psychedelic visions that practitioners were practicing for art ...
That final one you shared! VERY exquisite ... what gifts!

Woo Hoo! I got some! Funny story - I was watching another video of yours from several months ago about Malawi Agates where you cut and polished about 30 I believe. Hoping that there might be some left , I went to your Etsy store to look. But no, they were all gone. BUT I saw these lovely Stalagmites, and I said, I bet I can make some jewelry out of the small ones! So I pulled the trigger. That was late last night. I just now (9 pm) saw this lovely video, and I am so excited that I was able to get me some! I believe they are stalagmites, which are on the floor of caves, because stalactites are usually more pointed (from dripping down). Always exciting to see you cutting rocks!

Hello! My name is Lillith and I’m from Western Australia. I am so happy your channel was recommended to me out of no where by CZcams. My father was part of some of the very first modern mining operations in the north part of my state and I have some extremely old beautiful rocks a quartz he just pick up off the ground at the end of his shifts over 30 years ago. Some of them are crazy quartz formations that I would love to send to you to have them cut open! Thank you for your videos they are an absolute treat! Can’t tell you how much I enjoy them especially when I’m trying to get to sleep.

I'm mostly caught up with your channel, having been my recent background chill flow. Love everything about the channel, from hunting to polishing.
The only thing I ever find myself wishing for would be a 'geologist reacts' creator for you content, who can point out scientific knowledge that is revealed in your art.
If you ever find someone who does that kind of 'reacts to Agate Dad's latest Moss Agage reveal!', please make sure to announce it good and loud, I'd love to be able to watch both the artistic and scientific passes on everything you do. If they did straight 'react' videos, it wouldn't even add anything to your own workflows.

I'm not sure if you ever plan to visit the West Coast, but here in Oregon, we have loads of agates on the coast, and there is a location in CA around Shasta Lake where me and my friends visit old mines that have long been abandoned. We just returned from there and found tons (literally tons, piles of them) of raw obsidian, many with bands! The lake is currently full, but when it's lower, I've also found huge (basketball) sized limestone rocks covered in nice crystals. It's really fun for rock hunting.
    Love the video!

For the folks who are concerned about it being wrong and illegal to have or cut these. They were probably from a quarry, not taken from caves. Caves form in limestone, which is what many quarries are digging for. I have cave rocks from a quarry that would have otherwise been ground up to make cement. They were saved instead of being destroyed.

I’m pretty sure they’re stalactites from the patterns. As far as I can see while searching stalagmites are more even in pattern. Like the sediment (or whatever it’s called, I’m not a native English speaker) runs down on it self. Whereas stalactites are formed from drips and are more “uneven” as a result. They’re gorgeous though.
