This is my collection. They picked up a little over 600 comics I still have just under 2300 I'm trying to sell

It’s going to be hard for the guy to move the left over comics now, usually I see it as all or nothing. He was asking a bit too much for the entire collection should have been less to keep things together and move them.
Interesting collection. As a seller, wouldn’t pay $6k for it.
If the guy wants to get his money back, call his bluff and let him try. Have to think like business people if you’re going to try to make it work for the long haul.
6000 definitely wouldn't be getting his money back there was about 3000 books so getting his money back would be asking 15000. At 6000 he would be at a loss of about 9000. And that's if he paid on average 5 dollars per book but based off of some of the books shown he definitely paid more than 5 dollars for a lot of those books.
Price seemed high but the collection was well cared for and not crap.
Of course they were in nice condition because they are all modern books lol.
My favorite comic book channel ! May have to make the drive from North Alabama down to one of your sales some day. I loved comics as a kid and have just started getting back into them again at 55 lol. I also sale a few in my card booth at a local consignment shop. You guys have the best comic book youtube channel I have found. Keep up the good work !
I wish someone could explain to me the appeal of Scotty Young covers. They're just annoying and uninteresting to me 🤷♀
I used to think the same. But I’ve come to appreciate it like Calvin n Hobbes style art. Like American chibi. But I still don’t “need” them
Scottie stuff reminds me of the game Munchkin art... I love the cartoon adaption of super hero, my only issue is sometimes the covers have too much negative space, why some look much better then others IMO.

As JJ Jameson would say about Scottie Young covers: Crap, crap, ..more crap. But then, some people like crap. I think you will break even or make a little money (after a lot of hard work). Better go for bronze/silver age comics, like the ones he kept, FF 50 etc. There is more money there and less work per comic.

It's my collection I'm a huge silver surfer fan my son's middle name is Radd after Norrin Radd I kept pretty much all my silver surfer comics
I can't tell you my favorite Scotty Young cover is, because there are so many I like. $2500 for the collection is all right too.

I didnt know that autographed comics were kinda frowned upon, I came from the trading card game and auto's is what everyone wants. Needless to say I was shocked when a shop owner told me that autographed comics were mostly a personal thing.

At around time stamp 26 mins you showed an Artgerm Vampirella...she's one of my favorite characters, I remember reading the magazine size books when I worked at the family smoke shop when I was around 18 yrs old...thanks for sharing and stay safe!

Young's art has the cute factor and a lot of his covers have a cleverness about them too but he's not an artist whose work I deliberately set out to buy. Angelo and Sarah, did you purchase any of Chad's Silver and Bronze Age books? Now those I was really interested in seeing.

I would highly suggest you pick it up for the 6K cause honestly I think you will end up seeing a profit margin of about 4-6K. Just my opinion though.

I don’t know much about value of the books. But from what I see you’ve done very well. Love them all. Hard to pick a favorite.

Agree 100% I don't get it either. Growing up I admired Jim Lee, George Perez and Todd McFarlane. Skottie's art is extremely subpar in my eyes . I'll never understand how he got so popular but to each his own as they say.

This is my collection and I can say that while yes I did by some of these comics just for the cover art I can say I've read about 80% of my collection

Knew there were guys out there that were buying up all the variants and rare ratios not giving regular customers a chance. One of the reasons I hate ratios and variants. Plus the high ass prices before they know if they would even be worth that much. (Which most aren't). Glad you guys got some and maybe someone out there that really loves a copy can get a copy now.
Side note- Sarah surprises me with her knowledge sometimes. (I know it's wrong to assume, but somehow I do anyway. Sorry for thinking stereotypically) She needs to start a "girl's that love comics" fan club. Or if there is one, I need to find it. Think it's where I'll find my future wife lol.

Yeah, those Adventure books are getting more tough to find and I would recommend nabbing all of them. They always sell in almost any shape!

I would of passed on this, would of saved my money up for a silver/bronze collection that is where the money is...sometimes you just have to be patient for something good to come along. I assume you guys mostly do this for a living but I would of passed. Not going to pay 4 bucks a comic on modern stuff that is hot now but won't be worth anything years from now.
We have to give the Comics Den some credit for knowing their market, and what sells. The modern variants are also not my preference, being almost exclusively a "Cover A" collector since the beginning, but, again, somebody must be buying them.
