I love these trucks. I have a Notorious and two Outcast 6s trucks and your right,just pull the trigger and up she goes. I think you need something different for speed runs,something smaller and with less tread.

I’ve being using belted tires in my Kraton 6s, Notorious 6s, Outcast 8S, Kraton 8S, MAXX 4S, XMAXX 8S and the Granite 4x4 blx 3s and no problems with any of those RC!
These things are insane in stock form bud. They will wheelie on demand.

But belteds are so much heavier usually and strain the diffs even if built well I’ve removed belteds and trenchers as they just weigh too much
I measured the weight for Duratrax belted and not belted tires and is the same even the Proline Trenchers the weight is similar!
It depends on the manufacturer. Some belted tires are heavier than stock non belted tires. But sometimes some stock non belted tires are heavier! You just gotta find belted tires that are close to the stock tire weight.
Also, you can control the throttle when you run your RC from low, medium to high speed.
People really underestimate how much tire/wheel weight affects the drivetrain and overall durability.
@@Brandon_Nelson92 believe me, i learned the hard way! 🤣 Had a v4 kraton that i put belted 3.8 trenchers on and blew the front diff within 5 minutes! Planetary gear cracked in half, sun gear in about 5 pieces and the other gears with chipped teeth or ground down teeth. 🫣 Ring gear had chipped teeth too! I took those wheels off and put them on ebay immediately for $80 shipped and they sold in 15 minutes. NEVER LOOKED BACK!
