In this lecture we look at the cells that produce, maintain and break down bone. We will take a look at the role of Osteocytes, Osteoblasts, Osteoclasts and Osteoprogenitor cells.

Your videos have helped me the most in A&P !!!!! 🐐
so cute! ive always had an obsession with those scrubbing bubble guys!
Here's how I remember osteoblasts vs osteoclast - osteoBlasts are bone Builders, or Blasts Build
also a good way is B for blast and B for build
Osteoclast reduce or destroy it ans a balance is created
@@sinangokturk1683 I remember clast by clear . Clearing old bone
@@guney4323 Good one!
And osteoclasts destroy , like clasts chip away
Great job explaining this cohesively! Thanks

Great video Mr. Jerry! quick question: did you animate the osteoblast using Camtasia?
I used Crazy Talk to animate the osteoblast. If you watch my video on learning the Carpals of the Hand, I use Anime Studio (now called Moho)
Jerry McNally wow awesome! Thank you for responding Mr Jerry impressive quality work!
The B stands for 'Build', the 'C' stands for crush
You help me with me homework
if osteocytes live in lacunae (which is found in compact bone), does spongy bone not have them??
The way I’d remember it is, iconoclasts break icons, and osteoblasts break, well, bones.
Wrong
@@LaurensITrust True. How silly, dunno what I was thinking. I must've meant to say osteoclasts.
