An interesting and well structured, properly planned and well executed review. Speaking as a European, I will admit that I haven't seen any H/D Pan America motorcycles on this side of the pond. From my stand point, they appear to be more road orientated than an Adventure Motorcycle but who knows? Perhaps H/D could run a team in the Dakar event in 2023 and prove the concept. 👍

These reviews are so subjective. The ADV website guy thinks this is awesome. Not a good review. “I don’t see how Harley has anything to give you”? I’m a BMW owner, test rode the HD and thought It was fine and f’n fast at that…did you mention the engine? It’s world class just like a Ducati or KTM..

Nice to see you creating some videos again. You mentioned being 6' 5", Bret Tkacs just recently put out a video about setting up a bike for tall riders. if you haven't seen it, it may be worth your time.
On the Pan America, interesting point of view. I have seen a lot of reviews of people singing high praise for the Harley and yours may be the first I've seen saying "no thank you."

In line with what F9 said. Masters at missing the boat. Again, catering to a disapearing ( literally) crowd. Great review. And nice to see new vids from you.

Greetings, I do a lot of long distance touring and ADV riding. I own a Harley Ultra and a Yamaha Tenere 700 and love each for what they do best. I am doing a week long off road tour of Southern Spain this fall and will be riding a Pan America so I will have a chance to make my own observations. If I like the PA I may buy one; I need to see if it fits my needs.

There’s one one thing I need to know about this bike. 4 out of 5 sold in my town have spent more time in the shop than on the road and one is currently in lemon law negotiations.

Thanks for your review. I test rode the Pan America today, and so wanted to like it since I do like the “Harley” brand, but I came away really underwhelmed. I have a 2019 F850GS and thought the Harley would be a huge upgrade. While the engine definitely has a ton of power and feels great, the overall bike just seemed like a step down from my 3 year old “mid level” BMW. It felt awkward and twitchy to me. I think I’m going to either stick with my bike or talk myself into a new 1250 GS.

H-D great attempt at the ADV market. Still needs refinement and not great at low speed throttle control. I'll stick with the OG BMW GS's.

I totally disagree with you. It's not outclassed. You didn't mention the engine at all. And saying squat is very condensing. ARH, your obviously a very biased reviewer, and pandering to the anti HD crowd. The same crowd that has harped how bad HDs performance is, now makes a bike that out performs most of its competitors, yet no mention of that.

What about the engine? What does the HD engine do better than its competitors in that price range? What does this bike do better than the GS or KTM?
I may be biased. I doubt it because I don’t love the BMW or KTM anymore than I love HD. In fact, I really WANTED the HD to be amazing. I just don’t think it went the right direction with this offering but I’m willing to listen to where I have it wrong.
What am I missing? What makes this bike a better adventure option than the BMW?

@@BeGoneForGood Dude, face it, it's a biased hack of a review. At least be honest about it. When you leave out every strong point or make up names for the exclusive option it has, your not worth my time. Good riddance. Stick to Hondas and Yamahas. Later

YOU’RE right…it must be a hack review. Good to know you don’t actually have anything in mind to rebut though. I gave you an option and the best you have is it’s squatting ability?!? This bike isn’t what it could have been and I know that isn’t biased because I would have PREFERRED a good HD to compete with BMW. You can WANT to believe bias but I’ve been on the bike and it is nothing spectacular. And for the price they’re asking, it better be spectacular. Swing and a miss from HD but at least their fanboys, like you, can think it’s a rager. Best of luck off road on that glorified sportster.

@@BeGoneForGood "At least their fanboys, like you, can think it’s a rager. Best of luck off road on that glorified sportster."? I think name calling may make it a little difficult for some to respect your reviews as unbiased & honest. No need to get frustrated by others comments and lower yourself to their level. Having some appreciation & respect for what others may like and contributing to the growth of the sport may help give your reviews the credibility they deserve. I just picked up a Pan Am Special, I happen to love it ...I also really enjoy your channel, content and the hard work you put into editing & sharing your journeys. Hey, ride what you love, love what you ride and keep it real✌
