I really like my MDC 3.4-6V with a slightly warm and decent tint light. Balanced hotspot/flood with 3 levels brightness, that's it. CR123a/16340 body. That combo is a great pocket light for days when I just need something that works without too much thinking. I love the build and feel of Malkoff lights. There are a ton of better choices if you want a performance thrower, not usually made in USA though.

Great light, haha! Look forward to getting it. This has a balanced beam with throw-not just a throw, pencil beam, which Malkoff also offers. Strictly throwers, and lep’s, are fun, but not really practical unless your’re doing long distance night shooting with a spotter. Goofy comparisons but whatever.

MDC = Malkoff Daily Carry
I have a couple Malkoff lights, the “MDC HA 1AA” and the “MDC HA 1CR123” - they’re both in 4000k and I freakin’ love them both. They’re both EDC friendly models that have multiple outputs and always come on in low.

Beam quality is way tighter, everything way way way more durable on the Malkoff. Its expensive because of regulation.
Also if you have a Surefire E2D that body/head is a godsend to swap stuff around

I think its a good tactical light. High candela is important to blind an attacker. But 200 is way to much. I would pay 50 for it not more. Also its quite big for a 14500. Looks like its almost the size of a Olight Warrior Mini 3 wich is a 18650.
