That method of turning the center post to increase or decrease the paddle width was first used the Jones key iambic paddle 35 or so years ago. Long forgotten keys.

A tip. You can send “C” or “Q” pressing the paddles only two times. Keep both paddles pressed at the same time but other one first. Take some time to learn but it make many letters much easier to send, like F and L. I have sculpture too. Great key. 73’ OH6MR

Just to say Pete, I'm enjoying your videos. I too have the dual paddle Sculpture and it's a fantastic key! Also have the spark as the straight key option but the sculpture is my key of choice.

Thanks Pete. Great video. You know, I never knew how to adjust the paddle distance, although I knew it was possible. There was probably an instruction sheet in the box, but all of my boxes are stored outside the shack. Actually, I just took a look at the Begali site, because I wanted to see what the titanium nitride finish was. It looks to me that the normal finish for the key is stainless (as I own it), and the three optional colors you mentioned, black, gold and copper are the titanium nitride finish colors.

Evening Pete. Interesting that you are another Begali 'nut' :-).
I have a few too including the Simplex, the Magnetic Classic , the Sculpture, the Blade and my favourite: The Graciella.
I'm seriously into portable operation these days and use a Palm paddle for that activity as the Begali 'portable' keys are too big and heavy! Pity. 73 Bruce G4ABX

Shouldn't you slow your speed down to what you just received? Responding back at a much higher speed than the other person would cause them frustration.W4SEX

On this occasion it was Bill who replied to my call. GM3ZRT. I had worked bill several times before and know he is more than capable in CW at my speed. Had it have been someone I have not worked before, of course I would QRS.
