Livevideo !
Live video ! This is how every contest works for me. Always paddle operation with the hand.
Whether only a few hours as shown in the ARRL-Contest or as last year
23 hours in the WAG-Contest. This is still the most fun for me.
As you can hear and see in the video happen to every radio amateur here
and there also times mistakes, naturally also me. That is quite simply in such a way!
It is just live, nothing embellished or omitted.
Have fun watching / listening.

Excellent video. Love the unassisted and manual ops. Watching CW masters keep me motivated on the CW learning journey. 73 and thanks for posting
Thanks for the praise, 73, Andy
FB. Thanks for sharing
Nice job - very impressive. As a cw nut, this is just a great video by a master at the key. Keep up the great work. Auf Wiederhoren! W2FKN
Many thanks and greetings, Andy de DL6FA

Another amazing video Andy
Thanks for sharing
Congratulations!!!
73 😊😊😊
Thanks, I had a lot of fun again, 73 Andy
Nice operating and nice video, Andy. The captions are a nice touch to make the experience more accessible to noobies. Kudos for sending all the code manually. The computer has degraded my skills to the point I’d never try it! 73 DE N8PE
Thank you for the praise. Giving by hand will bring me more fun than with the computer. Best wishes, 73 Andy
This is helpful for me to see what to expect in my first ARRL Intl. DX. I hope to work you this weekend Andy!
I wish you a lot of fun in your first ARRL. I will be there some hours this weekend. Maybe we meet us. Best 73, Andy de DL6FA
Nice and I'm not keying at those speeds. Glad I use the PC for that. Nice job 73 de KC2ZA
Try it also only with paddle, it´s definitely more fun than the PC, many thanks and 73, Andy de DL6FA
Bravissimo! Complimenti!
Thank you, 73 Andy

Great job !
Thank you, 73
You make me want to do CW even more
Thank you, merry xmas, 73 Andy
amazing you are the man...
73 Andy
I prefer N1mm to do my keying. I wish I was that competent!
Pure practice, develops all by itself over the years. But I also have over 30 years of practical experience. Thank you a lot. Best 73 and good DX, Andy de DL6FA

73 Andy

Thank you, 73 Andy DL6FA
I wonder if there a way to filter the paddle clicking, and just hear the transmitting tone?
Hello, the clicking is intentional in the video to show how the paddle sounds. It cannot be filtered out. In my more recent videos, the paddle clicks can only be heard very quietly in the background. Many 73, Andy de DL6FA
Like the overhead shots of keying the Janus. Curios if you use Iambic A or Iambic B?
Hello dear OM, I use Iambic A. 73 Andy
Sehr schön Andy, genau die richtige Geschwindigkeit für mich um im CW-Tempo voran zu kommen. Danke fürs Video, 73 Jürgen, DL1DUR. P.S. Den richtigen TRX hast du auch ! 890 ?
Der TS890 ist schon ein richtig gutes Funkgerät.
I also have the Janus and see you have the paddles quite close to each other, almost like the Sculpture Mono, which is a single lever key. Do you use the Iambic ability of the Janus as well?
DE K6JSC
Yes, I use the iambic ability with a very narrow distance between the paddles. For me personally, the closer the distance, the better. 73 Andy de DL6FA
Too long pause between "DL6FA" and "Test". Sometimes it confuses correspondents.
Thank you for the constructive criticism. That's exactly the point. Sometimes my breaks are too long. I don't want to make them too short either. I am working on it. 73 Andy
What headphone you are using on this video?
Hi, It's the kind of headphones you wear in noisy environments, for example when working with tradesmen. Except that a pair of earpieces have been retrofitted. Vy 73, Andy DL6FA
@@Andy-lc4wd Hi. Thanks for the response, Andy. I see some wires that come out from the headphones. Or is this like earphones and you put those noisy protection over them?
@@makskk6spm275 Hi, You are the first to notice that. Before every video, I put a small microphone connected to my smartphone under the headphones. The smartphone shows me from the side and records the QSO sound. The paddle is filmed via a second smartphone. A small microphone is also connected to it via a cable and records the sound of the paddles. Both videos are then synchronized with a video editing program. The video is finished. Simple and inexpensive.
You have to learn typing with left hand *only* and use the right hand for the paddle. You will save time and unnecessary (and tiring) movements. 73 !
Thanks for the good tip. I'll have to get used to it quite a bit though. Best 73, Andy
