Quick shoutout to all you og oilers who immediately went to his highlights😂👏👌
Im a lil late but thanks for the shout out
Icy SpicyTM , CZcams just suggested it to me. Oilers fan here. Happy the Oilers got him. 👍❤️
Good collection! Bouchard is one of many exciting defensive prospects in the upcoming draft, what a year for him. Looks like the hype is pretty high lately as TSN's latest now has him in the top 5. Not sure I would pick him ahead of Hughes though
The oilers prayers were answered... bless up
Welcome to Edmonton
He's so calm with the puck
I really like this guy, not flashy but he really understands the game and always sees the best play to make which usually turns into a goal.
Welcome to edmonton man we cant wait to see you play :)
This guy's gonna be feeding Mcdavid. Crazy
CowsR4me Gonna be fun to watch
mcdavid s gonna be feeding him
Or they will never play Bouchard and ruin him and this potential 😔
WELCOME TO EDMONTON
WELCOME TO EDMONTON!!!
2nd best defenseman in the draft in my opinion. Kinda reminds me of Victor Hedman.
Very good pick
Am I the only one that chuckles whenever he mentions Cliff Poo?
Bouchard is gonna be a steal. I have him as the third best defenseman after Dahlin and Boqvist
Praying to God Detroit will pick him!
Yeah lol. But as everyone else i thought Zadina was going third xD
C'mon Vancouver! This is the guy!
I would rather have Boqvist, Hughes or Wahlstrom.
Does Vancouver need Wahlstrom? Canucks already have a scorer in Boeser, and who knows who else? Don't they need blueliners?
broadstreet21 They do but sometime you should go with best player available. However if Canucks draft Bouchard then I'd welcome him with open arms.
Fair enough... well last I saw, Wahlstrom was placed around number 9 or 10 - Bouchard, Hughes, and Boqvist are higher than that.
I would, however, take Wahlstrom though at #5 if I were Arizona (and Tkachuk were gone) - they have too many defensemen.
broadstreet21 they might need blue liners right now but who knows who they’ll need in 5-10 years down the road. By the time these kids develop the team could have a completely different need. I personally wouldn’t put Bouchard in my top 15 but that’s just imo.
Lookin' like the Wings have a good shot at this dude! LGRW!
Him and Tryamkn would be a sick top future pairing??? Please nucks. This is not what you want but WHAT YOU NEED !!
He seems ok, hope he brings something to the team
Dude can qb a power play Canucks need that. Him or farabeee walhstrom
Make a Sean Durzi regular season highlight video!
MAKE A SEAN DURZI HIGHLIGHT!!! THERE IS NOTHING ON CZcams YET!!! WILL BE A HIT! KID HAS SOME GREAT HIGHLIGHTS!!
Top 5 pick, hopefully Montreal takes him at 4
Like if you came here after the nhl draft 😂👍 so happy to have him here in Edmonton!!!$
HE WENT TO G.P VANIER OMG !!!
Do the Wings go with Hughes or Bouchard?🤔
Scott Crawford hughes
I agree. Hughes' skating blows me away, amazing playmaking ability.
However, Bouchard seems like the safe pick, you know you're atleast getting a top 4 minute cruncher. But I think he may have a lower ceiling
broadstreet21 Hughes going to Michigan definitely makes that more plausible too. Hughes seems safer than Boqvist just because of a bigger sample size
That's nice, but can he play any D yet??
welcome to Oiler nation buddy
I’m his parents neighbour and he came and played ball hockey with me.
The oilers need a good d-man it’s either Bouchard or Dobson
I remember watching Keith Yandle dominate the QMJHL during his draft year or just after. He was the best defenceman I ever seen, he was a man amongst boys. Bouchard gives me the same vibe. I think Bouchard is a "can't miss" dman. His skating concerns are exaggerated, people are always trying to find something wrong when a player is too good
Canucks please
hoping Canucks pick this one... Flashy is awesome but stable wins cups
Someone tell me why if I had the first overall pick, I shouldn't draft Bouchard over Dahlin?
Sure, Bouchard lacks Dahlin's skill, specifically skating. But he does have the grit, hockey sense, and most importantly the intangibles. Call him maybe Bo Horvat playing defense? The guy put up 84 points in 64 games with what should have been a rebuilding London Knights - leading them to the playoffs for Nuck's sake. He puts up offense while maintaining strong defense.
Dahlin, meanwhile, only put up 20 points in 41 games in the SHL.
broadstreet21 you're fucking dumb. Dahlin plays against skilled MEN
And he is only +4 and his team lags behind Pettersson's. Juolevi puts up (slightly) better numbers playing in a similar league.
And Bouchard carried a team single-handedly to the playoffs. Can Dahlin at least boast the same?
broadstreet21 yeah he carried a team against kids his age and younger. He's older than more than half the kids in his league. While dahlin is playing against grown men.
Would love for the devil's to get this guy but I got to be out of my mind to think he would be available at 17th overall
If he's there Detroit will take him. Not big on Hughes yet. He'd probably do well but we already have some smallish quick defensemen. Joe Hicketts for example. We need a steady, mobile D man who can lead the defense.
While you didn't get Bouchard, you gotta be absolutely stoked with Zadina! Detroit killed it in the first round.
Canadian Conservative2708 I can't believe who fell to us. Literally dropped 2 top 10 forwards in our lap. I was telling someone else that it's funny because Detroit hasn't had much to get excited about in the draft for like 20 or so years. Our last top 10 pick was Keith Primeau. I think we won the first day. We have 33 and 36 today, then 3 more in the 3rd. Pretty excited.
I was hoping for Bouchard, but I'm liking the idea of Bode Wilde as well. A bit of a risk taker but that can be coached. Big kid, great offensive ability while responsible defensively and skates well. And.... he's a right hand shot! The other d man I'm looking at is Adam Ginning. Little offense but is positionally sound and likes to hit. Something Detroit has missed, even when Kronwall was hitting. With him ailing and aging, plus overall poor defence he doesn't risk the big hit.
+helmedon hahah my oilers got Bouchard! But this draft probably single handedly sped up your rebuild by 2 years. You guys easily won the draft. Congrats! Look forward to see zadina wow us for years!
Canadian Conservative2708 yeah, I'll take the trade off. Zadina and Valeno in the 1st was unexpected to say the least. Not sure about the rest of the draft, especially the 137 pound forward we took in the 7th. I was hoping for Bode Wilde in the 2nd though. Bouchard will make an impact. I think Detroit fans are feeling what Edmonton felt a while ago. 1st top 10 pick since Keith Primeau, lol.
As a Habs fan hes kinda like a Sea Weber. Id be fine if the habs got him
But more mobile
Wings better go after Bouchard, boqvist or Hughes.
Look like Pietrangelo to anyone else?
like shea weber
That's what I was thinking too but more mobile!
I'm pissed the Blackhawks passed up on this guy. Has size, better scorer than boqvist.
Better than Dahlin for what l've seem from him.
kyri ako fuck off lol
This is the OHL. You must be high. Bouchard is so slow compared to any other top defenseman.
Bouchard has it where it counts, vision and intelligence, with size. He will know how to play to his strengths, skate to where the puck is going, not where it's been.
Brett Monarch plus Bouchard is an extremely weak skater, has a very wobbly stride
Don't be deceived. Bouchard may not look fast, but he skates with a long stride, can move in four directions. He's an underrated skater - if this is his main weakness, whomever drafts him has little to worry about.
Hands down the worst skater in the whole first round, he'll need to improve on it but other than that his puck skills and hockey sense are what gets him in the top 10.
Know what, I shouldn't even talk because my team won't even pick him but I've just noticed he is a weak skater with extremely exceptional passing and shooting abilities.
This guys skating will not transition well to the nhl. Hope the rangers don’t take him
He really is an underrated skater, has other qualities to compensate for it. Rangers would do well to draft him at #9... that is, if he is still there.
