Those bottles and labels just ooze shear quality... how do you overcome oxidising the beer given that the bottle is inverted so whatever is in the headspace enters the beer? Love your work

Thanks so much! 🍻🍻🍻 the trick is to purge the bottle with CO2 before filling so that you get all of the oxygen out

Great video. Quick question: I have seen some distillers use a torch on the wax after it dries. Do you see any benefit to that? Shine perhaps?

Thank you! It can help smooth out the wax and get it to drip down further but totally optional. It’s just for looks tho and doesn’t help seal any better

It seems that wax melter is no longer available. Everything I can see now only goes to 257F...which I tried but is too thick. Do you know of any other ones that will work as good?

Great video. I'm curious to know how to use the fishing line/wire method as the pull tab? Any info on this?

Yea you can just tie it under the cap almost exactly like what I did with the tape.. wrap it around the cap once then dip the bottle with about an inch of line sticking out

What kind of wax is this? Is it like the candlewax/beeswax or like hard lac which is derived from insects?

Not really, it’s just for looks. It doesnt really seal any better than the cap
