- Installing the Tejas Steel Works squarebody LS motor mounts and also mounting the factory LS Denso compressor, which is one benefit of using their mounts, only minor trimming of the frame rail was required to install the AC line adapters. Putting the core support on as well. Next time we will go over the electric fans and radiator, condenser, and transmission cooler.

I have the same condensor, glad to see it can be made to fit. I'm literally doing the same swap, I'm just a little bit behind you as far as progress goes. Keep it up brother, love the content!!!
Man the aftermarket condensor for a squarebody is just stupid, had the same issue on my 86 C20 Burb. If there's anything I can help you with on this, don't hesitate to ask man! It all starts coming together quickly after you get over a few humps. I appreciate you watching and the kind words!
I feel ya on the “supply chain” excuse…thanks for the upload!
Way she goes I guys. Thanks for watching sir!
Best $100 spent on a ls swap!!! Tejas motor mounts for the win!!!
They are seriously the best fitting part of this whole swap!
You need a pneumatic body saw for trimming stuff like that frame. It’s coming together good, I can almost hear it running now!!
You think they would cut through the frame? It’s getting there, can’t wait to hear it run! Lol
@@cwsgarage yeah I think so
@@El_Jefe_TX We'll have to give it a shot! lol
Where did you get the extension that go on the AC compressor?
I got them from coldhose.com they sell a couple different styles.
Coming along nicely! Any plans to update the headlights?
I think I'm going to leave that to Uncle Kevin. Lots of stuff being done already lol. You'll see what else here in the next few videos!
Use a plasma cutter to notch frame.
I'm not that skilled with one. Maybe I'll invest in a more powerful one in the future and practice.
So do these mount to the stock frame mounts?
They mount to the factory rubber clamshell mounts, like the SBC and BBC would.
Did you use the factory AC lines or did you need to “customize” the hose fittings?
The line from the condensor to the drier/filter if factory, all of the other lines had to be custom built. You can contact cold hose, they sell the adapters and can help you build your hoses.
Hi what oil pan did you use thks👍😊
I used the stock 2000 Silverado oil pan.
Will this work for a sanden compressor? I'm going with a lsx transplant kit in my c10
Is it the style with the single “manifold” hoses? I’m not positive if that style will clear the frame. The Denso is what Tejas steel works recommends. I’m not sure if you’re on Facebook but there is a group for LS swapped squarebody that may have a better answer for you.
@Cw's Garage sanden are the compressors used in high mount applications. Like the ones vintage air uses
@@cwsgarage not to mention I'm going with an aftermarket a/c system. Vintage air or old air auto
@@vernonchaney65 Sanden makes a lot of compressors for a lot of applications and car manufacturers. But if you’re using the high mount compressor then you shouldn’t have any issues. One of the benefits of using the Tejas mounts though is so you can use the factory style donor compressor
Im glad im not the inly guy that does some things the hard way. “I should take the battery tray out now”. How many times have i punished myself??
Oh yeah there are tons of us out there doing it the hard way! You know it's gonna be a problem but it's just compulsive to create that problem lol
What are the part numbers on the drive belts
AC Delco/Gates K060923HD for 105 Amp alternator, if you have the 130 Amp alternator you will need K060930HD. AC Delco/Gates K040378HD for AC.
@@cwsgarage THANKS for the info I will post and tag you when I install them.
