    Thanks for posting your review. Your video was very helpful. I just got a Zoomer for my partner with Parkinson's.

      @@troypettit2332 How do you transport your Zoomer in the car. I find it too heavy for me to left into the car trunk. Any suggestions?

    Fantastic review! I'm getting one soon, its on its way. Thank you for the terrific video! The foot rest looks great! I trip over anything anyways, lol. I have Fibromyalgia and a I can make myself walk a little bit but not far without sitting down and I can't drive because of other disabilities. I cant wait for this to help me get out of my apartment! I have places to go, lol.

      Hahah. That’s awesome! Sorry for the late reply. I get that. I hope you’re liking the chair. It’s a game changer

    I own a zoomer. The foot rest is what impressed my nurse’s the most. I do appreciate it. They explained how wheelchair feet always trip people up so the swing away feature was nice. I find the chair pretty comfortable and easy to get into. I’ve never used the basket but it seems handy. It’s pretty quiet and quite maneuverable. I can’t believe my turn radius! Even people are impressed by the tight spaces I can navigate. I can turn around in an elevator. I love the independence it’s given me. My chair stays charged fairly long.

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 4 lety +2

      Heck yeahh mitathehermita! That’s so awesome. I completely agree! The footrest is the best part. It makes turning around in an elevator so easy. I’ve used a regular wheelchair at the airport and hospital and those footrests are wack. Haha They stick out so far at a crazy angle and you have to mess with them because they work separately. I’m stoked for you! and feel the same way about my independence.

    Do the front wheels have a hard time going over the gap in an elevator door? Do you have to put air in the tires often or can you change them out for the solid tires?

      Impossible to put in my car... ESPECIALLY for MS people in our condition. Way too heavy and bulky. Makes me mad haha😡

      That fkn sucks to hear dude. :/
      I’m pretty sure it is 50lbs but it has a large frame and seems awkward for some and not others. All the weight is by the wheels and motors. I don’t lift it though so What do I know. I think my Uber driver hurt his back lifting it the other day. He said he didn’t lol.

    Thank you so much for your painstaking review! Could you please tell me if either of the arm rests lift? I'm concerned about my dad having to back into this chair to sit, since his balance is very bad.

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 3 lety

      Ahh. Both of the armrests on the kd smart chair lift Bu the zoomer are fixed. and. lower. 🙋🏻‍♂️

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 3 lety +1

      To be honest the zoomer is pretty great for getting into. Because the footrest is just hanging, you can get close before sitting down.

  • @maxwellmark
    @maxwellmark Před 4 lety +2

    Seemed like a good review but the volume is so low I can only hear a few words...can the wheels still have power when folded up? Wondering if it could be used to help load using a ramp and using the motors to drive up the ramp when folded.

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 4 lety +1

      Ahh. My bad! 😅
      I appreciate you letting me know.
      Yeah!! The wheels still have power and work the same when it’s folded but I think the “anti tip wheels” are for moving it around when folded because they stick out farther than the tires lol but I really don’t know.

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 4 lety +1

      I like to drive up to my Uber and flip the red levers that are by the tires while the zoomer is still on hah
      The chair knows it’s in free wheel mode but the wheels lock and the lights around the joystick flash. When I stand up then I hit the power off and my driver can easily roll it the the trunk. I hope that helped a little!

    • @ellakoch7628
      @ellakoch7628 Před 3 lety +2

      It is the unit that can be used when sitting the chair that you show in the video with the zoomer . Not actually a bike but a person can peddle it ...what is it ?

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 3 lety

      Ahh yeah. Sorry. I think that’s just a portable exercise bike. It’s exactly like the “sunny health and fitness magnet mini exercise bike” on Amazon. I didn’t buy it and I’m not home right now so I don’t know for sure but it’s exactly like that one.

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 3 lety

      Those cubii mini elliptical machines look cool too. A little less like a bike motions and probably a bit easier 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Thank you Troy. My search for a chair may have ended. The footrest and lower armrest are what I like about the Zoomer. Can you feel the bar under your legs? I too have MS. Thank again.

    How much do they sell for?What is the weight without the battery? Can you lift the chair

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 4 lety +1

      To be honest my wonderful mother got it for me. I think it’s around 3k In Canada and I think there’s only one seller here, in Edmonton.
      And I think it’s just under 50lbs without the battery and just over with it. I can’t really lift it because my balance while standing is a problem. All the weight seems to be around the wheels, motors, battery and most people could pick it up without a problem.

    • @troypettit2332
      @troypettit2332  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey! The manual says 25”
      I’m measuring a little over 24” from the outside of the arm rests but it’s likely 25 at the rear wheels/ widest point.
