      The inventor deserves to make a good living for his/her invention but INSURANCE should cover it. That's what isn't right, that health insurance won't pay for great and NECESSARY items like this.

    Just getting into looking for a powered chair at 69 yo. Major heart surgery 11 years ago at Mayo Clinic, 5-back surgeries to fuse my back, both wrists CTS Surgeries, and multiple other surgeries over my lifetime has made a big mess of my skeletal system. Walking using a cane is very painful and really really really SLOW!
    I’m 6’0” and weigh 249 pounds. I’ve got to check out specs for this chair to be certain it will carry my weight. Still strong upper body but limited in turning and twisting at the wast.
    Another item is will Medicare pay part or all of the cost of this chair? Likely not since it was not mentioned, and that would be a great selling point. I’m fully disabled due to my heart disease. So, I will have to check these things out to insure what’s what concerning them.
    I must say Chris, your presentation was exceptional. No fluff and no high pressure selling points. That stuff turns me off! This is my first stop, so I need to learn more about this chair.
    BTW, I was a Commercial Pilot/Flight Instructor in both Airplane and Helicopters for over 40 years. Walked many ramps after flying 8 hours a day. So.... I have seen this ad in Flying Magazine and also in AOPA Magazine. Anyway, this would’ve saved my knees and feet in the day. Oh yes, I I had a (1) full knee replacement also.
    Now I would love to make trips to the Mall with my wife and family. But I don’t go because of the pain and suffering and lagging behind on such outings. Thanks again Chris.

    You mention "grocery shopping". Since your arms are busy, is it possible to push a shopping cart? (with knees or feet?) or just balance a small basket on the lap? Or could maybe hook something to pull one behind? Also have there been any issues scraping knuckles on doorways? I wish the control arms were in more. Thanks!

    • @ChrisDallasDualped
      @ChrisDallasDualped  Před 4 lety +1

      I'm not sure about the grocery but there is a basket underneath a bag or 2 can easily go there and you can even use your lap, you can easily pull something too it has the power...scraping knuckles I don't see it as an issue as the chair is nowhere near as wide as a door.

Too much reaching down low to maneuver the chair. Just not safe for a weak muscle person. A scooter with adjustable steering wheel and has arms on each side is way safer.

    1st of all, if you smoke,drink Coronas or like to wave to your friends as you encounter them you may as well forget all about this silly item. Imagine having to use every available extremity just to travel from any point to another. It's just silly to even consider such a limit. Now, this Zinger company also makes something called a Zoomer....same design but with a joystick . BRILLIANT! We never see that product advertised on TV though and I had to call the 800 number to point out their shortcoming with the Zinger to be told about the Zoomer which is a FAR SUPERIOR product, unfortunately the Zoomer and presumably the Zinger cost $2800.00 USD. A totally unrealistic price.

    • @ChrisDallasDualped
      @ChrisDallasDualped  Před 4 lety +1

      That's your opinion.. The Zinger IMO is way better..a lot of people hate joystick controlled wheelchairs and my parents could never learn to use them I bought them one but the Zinger on the other hand they got used to in just a matter of 5 minutes and not only that but their friends next door to them who also hated joystick controlled wheelchairs also purchased the Zinger due to its simplicity of the handles way easier to control and it's so precise I've tried both myself and it's much easier to manoeuvre than the joystick especially in tight places and worth every penny. There is no other chair on the market this light that you can take with you that can even go this fast all chairs are limited to 6km/h this thing hits 10km/h on the fastest mode but if that's too fast for anyone (mode 3) you can leave it in mode 1 or mode 2 which goes much slower..
