The Ford Edge owners manual contains the following information on the keypad door code:
SECURICODE™ KEYLESS ENTRY KEYPAD
The keypad is near the driver window. It illuminates when touched. Note: If you enter your entry code too fast on the keypad, the unlock function may not work. Enter your entry code again more slowly.
You can use the keypad to do the following:
• Lock or unlock the doors.
• Recall memory seat and mirror positions.
• Program and erase user codes.
• Arm and disarm the anti-theft alarm.
You can operate the keypad with the factory-set five-digit entry code. The code is on the owner’s wallet card in the glove box and is available from an authorized dealer. You can also program up to five of your own five-digit personal entry codes.

What if you only have one keyfob
YOU ROCK! I read & re-read the online instructions (no manual or card with my used 2019 Edge) & tried the steps at least 10 times. PULLING HAIR OUT! Then saw your video with the great advice that four steps need to happen QUICKLY or it won't work. BOOM! Thank you again -- keyless entry is this is one of my favorite features and it was driving me bonkers that I couldn't find the code. So appreciate you taking the time to make this video!

This worked for my 2022 Expedition. Just had to press OK for the seatbelt and brake notifications. After doing that - the factory code appeared. Thanks for the video!

Wonderful! Works on the 2018 Edge Sport. First try. I was surprised to find a low-mileage Sport (our color) with both keys. There is a deep dark place where most 2nd keys live. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the helpful vid. We recently purchased a used 2020 Edge with only 1 smart key and no manual - any insight into another way to obtain or find this darn code without paying our local dealer?
The codes are also physically located on the vehicles but will usually require trim pieces or bits of the interior to be removed in order to get access to them- sometimes you will even need like a small mirror to read them because they are in such tight areas. I'm not sure exactly where that is on the 2020 Edge but I believe there are some videos on CZcams that demonstrate where to find it.

Quick question is anyone can answer. If you put your keys in the car and then use the outside pad to lock it, then someone breaks in, will they be able to drive off? I am looking for a way to leave my keys in the car when flying out of town for example and parking my car at a remote parking lot.

for this method yes, you need two keys. The code is also physically located inside the vehicle on a sticker. Some interior trim will usually need to be removed in order to access it. We don't have a video on it yet but Im sure you can find one on CZcams on how to do that

Does that work for a Lincoln Continental
Not sure - I've never done it on a Continental. Most newer fords are similar to this so I would think there's a good chance it would be the same on a Lincoln.

I want to know how to change it.
Need the original code and then you can change it in the settings of the radio/infotainment center. Found the option going through the setups for the infotainment.

Just like a Ford Edge, always has a check engine light on smh! Mines turned on a month after buying it from the dealership and its been on now for 2yrs. Too expensive to get it fix
