I just think we're used to certain youtubers who over exaggerate their reactions. he wasn't really complaining, but more changing his focus from the fear. you can tell he was scared by him talking, and talking about the games texture. "oh that's a nice tree" stuff like that, meaning he's creep out lol
+MassiveScore I think a lot has to do with him being with Tim. Playing a horror game by yourself if completely different than playing with someone else. When there's someone else next to you, you're not going to be as scared. Being alone and playing PT is a completely different experience.
This game still freaks me out so bad! I have a long hallway in my house and I still fear seeing Lisa at the end of it sometimes lol.

I just can't look stright at this game, I get scared very very easily. I can't beleive I actually beat this teaser before, it was hard to wath the lets play too

Nothing against those guys and it's cool that they're trying, but you can't replace the level of talent or the budget that Silent Hills would've had with a couple of dudes Kickstarting a game. Horror games are already difficult enough to pull off in general.
***** Because we have nothing else like that, Skullo. Sure it's not a game by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, but at least it shows that someone has the balls to try.
This game was the best. The best and most unique horror experience I've ever had. Once I played it, I absolutely had to show my friends and watch them play it. In the dark, headphones on, without giving them any advice. It was such an awesome experience, not just for myself, but as a community it was so cool spreading this around. And it had the promise of something next... Silent hills. But we all know where that went. Oh well. At least we had this at all. Never deleting from my hard drive
I agree with what a lot of people are saying here. This is one of the finest horror games I've ever played. I'm still majorly depressed Silent Hills got cancelled

They should have locked Colin in a separate, dark room. Also, it's interesting they have a console where the game still has PT. Sorry, I didn't mean to say lock him in, ha ha. The thing that was special about PT to me is that it's not only one of the scariest experiences I've actually had with a game, and I've played many (although the scare factor can go down once you get used to it, learning its tricks), but it was also a game, and I suppose to some degree a bit unfortunate, that was largely about working together with others, as it didn't teach you anything, so it was up to you as a player to determine how the game works, and what you can do. So many things were hidden, or subtle. It took a good while before anyone, even those that finished it, figured out how to trigger the end. Oh, and home theater set ups are really good for this.

One of the best games of last year, even if it's just a "demo". I played it immediately following its release with no perception of what it was & when Lisa jumped out at me I was like, "Jesus take the wheel". But man this game is awesome, it's the scariest thing I've played in forever.

Silent Hills was literally too good to exist.
The first that beat PT was streaming and did it completely by accident. Then people went and watched the archive of her stream and figured out how to replicate getting to the end.
The zoom being on the R3 stick is so you cant look around while being zoomed. So you're view is focused on the scary shit xD
The movement in this is almost like in the uncanny valley. Feels real enough to not be terrible, but also weird enough to be creepy
So far there are jumps around 10:30 (biggest one), 16:48, 20:41, 33:34 annd that's it!
People forget this game was made with Fox Engine... and then downscaled so that no one would figure out how beautiful a game made by "an indie studio" was. That's how good this game would've been. FOX ENGINE! Dammit...
Always get a David Lynch vibe from this. The baby is very Eraserhead.

I never found all the picture pieces when I played this and I finished it. And I did it before all these walkthroughs, mine was complete luck. Never knew there was all these other things to do. Damn you Konami for killing what could have been a masterpiece.
Words cannot express how annoyed I was that Konami axed this game. Even if P.T. isn't entirely reflective of what Silent Hills would have been, I just really wanted a good Silent Hill game. I love that series and there hasn't been a good one for so damn long.
Really enjoyed this play through with Colin and Tim. Now how we do get Colin and Tim to play a portion of The Evil Within?

In PT right when you are transported to the room with the tally mark its possible to, if your quick about it, hear and see tally mark being scratch into wall.

if you're just rushing into things like colin did it's because you're not playing alone. it's just not the full experience
+shiretsu He did mention that he was really bad at puzzle games. You saw how long it took them to figure the eye gauge puzzle. If Tim wasn't there to guide him he would have most likely gotten frustrated and stopped playing completely.
+Luigi HHH yeah, but the entertainment value in watching a playthrough of this game lies entirely in seeing someone's thought process as they struggle to figure out how to escape. I watched a bunch of friends play this, I tried to only give hints to people if they asked for them or if something didn't quite trigger correctly/they were close (like the HELLO segment or peeking through the bathroom door).

You killed your family. Lisa was the wife. She was pregnant. Each lope is a separate reality. That is why the game was called Silent Hills. Every play through was different possibility and different reality.
I always wonder if someone who played PT but never played a Silent Hill game before, would have been disappointed by how different the game probably would have been to PT since you would have weapons etc. Or maybe it would have been nothing like the previous games.
I got to the very end and couldn't trigger the phone to ring.

This isn't really a game more so an experience that you have to take your time with. It's so annoying seeing people that can't focus try to play while constantly talking.

I honestly thought this game ended after the girl catches you.
I'm not normally "that guy" but I was shouting "press x on the picture" for about 10 minutes of this Let's Play. I do think it would have been better if only one person was playing. The need they have to talk to each other prevents them from immersing themselves in the game I feel.

I really don't know how I can explain it any better.
The game is absolutely, 100% hard to understand. The game is specifically built to be confusing and hard to understand. That is why walkthroughs and tips/hints for this game were blowing up. Tim even read that except in the video.
