  • A conversation between: Amy Cappellazzo, founder of Art Market Intelligence; Jade Mitchell, coach for creatives and founder of Blank Canvas Coaching; Dexter Wimberly, founder and CEO of Art World Learning; Julia Henderson, founder of Draw Recruitment; moderated by Art Market Mentors co-founder Catherine Manson
Over the past two years, the art industry has undergone unprecedented change. Hundreds, if not thousands, of these jobs are now remote; commerce is as likely to happen online (or even in the metaverse) as it is in person.
To help those in the art industry (and those looking to break into the field) navigate this terrain in 2022, Artnet News is teaming up for the second year with Art Market Mentors-a three-month mentorship program initiated by Catherine Manson and Caroline Sayan pairing art-market professionals with established members of the industry-to hold a series of free talks about art-world careers.
In the first talk, we bring together arts professionals with a strong track record for entrepreneurship who have managed to reinvent their own careers time and again, as well as a career strategy advisor to discuss how art-market professionals can set goals, cultivate resilience, and get creative about their career paths in the new year.

They speak like motivational coaches or self-help books authors, rather than describing the specificity of working in the art market scene. And quite average/predictable speeches, excepting Jade Mitchell, whose previous experience as a nurse gives a different perspective. Best regards from Argentina.
