I would also like to add that recently I saw an interview where Dax said when they started dating and were talking about getting married, he was getting all the roles, making more money and was a bit more famous than her at the time. She asked him if he wanted a prenuptial agreement because of his success and he said no. Then her career took off after they got married and he said it has worked out really well for him now by saying no to that prenuptial agreement LOL!

I'm actually allergic to gluten (Irish heritage is common factor), like I had a blood test & it said, don't eat it. But it's so TRENDY I feel I have to apologize when I ask for the GF menu. There's a GF stigma, man.
I honestly don't see why anyone should care if someone eats gluten or not. I also don't eat gluten and some people act like I'm faking or attention seeking. It's no one else's business.
On one hand, it's crap that it has become stigmatized, because it is a real thing for some people (not nearly as many as claim it though). On the other hand, it's great that money is pouring into better products for those impacted.
10% of the US population have celiac disease. I have it, as do both my parents.
Same with lactose. I can‘t eat it and some people get almost angry at me because I ask for a special menu.
I don’t because it’s known to be inflammatory and I have issues with that. Dairy is also, and I stay off both (and I love both). I feel better off it. Kudos to you, I know it’s frustrating when the general public get snarky about it.

I never realized how much I love Dax Shepard as just himself until I watched a bunch of interviews he’s done, especially the ones on Ellen. I saw the movie they are talking about ages ago and very much enjoyed it. I guess my vision had originally been clouded by some of his earlier works, but I’m loving him now!

The reason why people get "angry" when others don't eat gluten is because most people nowadays do it as part of a trend, and not because they're allergic or something like that.
It's the new hype to eat gluten-free. It's annoying.
And the trend drives up the prices for people with celiac disease who actually need gluten free

Except everyone who doesn't deal with a gluten allergy assumes that anyone who refuses to eat gluten is doing it for fads sake, when that's not the truth. They also assume that their WebMD PhD gives them magical powers to see when people are actually allergic to things, because skepticism somehow holds more merit than someone who knows that if they eat gluten, they're going to be blowing up their bathroom for a week and potentially develop another infection at the same time because of their compromised immune system.
It shouldn't be anyone else's business what people choose to eat, as long as it's not other people or children. Just saying.
E. Fowler thank you. I don't eat gluten because I know that it makes my stomach hurt, makes me bloat like crazy, gives me terrible gas, and constipation. If I wanted an official diagnosis I would have to resume eating gluten so doctors could take a biopsy from my colon. No thanks.

Well, I have coeliac disease (gluten burns my insides and could give me cancer), so I'm forbidden to it eat it. This trend makes it easier for me to find gluten free things, so I won't complain. And anyway, why should people care one way or another what I (or he / anyone) likes to eat / can eat or not ?
Yeah it's mad how common it is now, that's been one good thing about the "trend", when I had family members diagnosed 25 years ago there was no gluten free aisle.

When Dax was doing the Domino's bit - the voice he slipped into was an (actually quite decent) "Bobcat Goldthwaite" impression (usually known for his Stand-Up but was actually the voice of "Pain" in the Hercules stuff for Disney) - and to be fair it was most likely pure coincidence on his part.
I like her SO much. (The Good Place, etc) I don't know much about Dax, but they seem perfectly matched and quite relatable.

My friend has a wheat allergy. Not deadly, but it does make her skin become irritated. The easiest way to get around that is to look for gluten-free food, which (for the most part) does not have wheat in it. She gets all sorts of looks because of it, but it's better than the alternative.
