  • For sale in our Orlando Florida showroom is this wonderful 1940 Lincoln Zephyr Sedan. This beautiful time capsule of 1940’s Americana has 47,898 miles on the odometer which the consignor believes to be actual and Features the 292 CID Lincoln-Zephyr V12, this was the last American car produced and sold by a major US automaker with a V12 engine and is mated to a manual transmission. This vehicle was featured in 5 Lincoln Zephyr commercials in 2013 and looks remarkable for its age. It has the owner’s manual and maintenance log. The lines on this car are remarkable and large grille and bumpers give a strong presence from the front of the vehicle. Move down the long sleek doors, over the flowing curvy fenders with skirts, and you’ll find the classic lines of this car will draw attention wherever you go. In typical 1940’s luxury fashion, chrome is applied in abundance in the bumpers, grille, and assorted trim pieces. Push the button on the long graceful door, and you are greeted by unmistakable American luxury. The luxury treatment continues throughout the interior, and is complimented wonderfully by a combination of piano black trim, and tan cloth seats. - See more at: gatewayclassiccars.com/orlando...

The 40 Lincoln I had was bigger . Two speed rear end and a fresh air heater . Also a triangle foot rest in the rear seat floor because of the distance between front and back seat

Lincoln used the V12 through 1948 model Lincolns they and were going to build a new V12 for the new 49 Lincoln Cosmopolitan, but didn't have time, to develop one so they used a large flathead V8 previously used for large trucks. Lincoln didn't do a Automatic till 1950 when they bought GM Hydramatics for the Lincoln,. The Mercomatic and Fordomatic was actually bought from Borg Warner
I see this is a old California car interesting

The music used to present this car is appalling!

I agree somewhat but appalling. It is jazz of that era!
