Let me be clear about a few things in regards to this video, just to lessen some confusion (and the amount of dislikes):
- This comic was made WELL before Season 5 first began, so of *course* the designs for Pink Diamond and Pink Pearl are totally different
- This comic was also made before we knew about what happened to Pink Pearl on Homeworld
- I suppose it's safe to say that this comic could also be an AU of Steven Universe, which is why everything here is different compared to the actual cartoon
- Did you not read the title and how it says this is an **alternate** story about Pink Pearl? (Not to sound like a smart alec, but reading makes life a little easier!)
- I'm sorry, but this is the only episode, per se, that I'll make of this comic, as there are no more parts after this. :'(

@@Ms.CringeSwirlz16 Although it didn't happen, that's what I like about the theories, some of them turn out to be better than the series itself, I liked this one especially because Lion would become more than just being there to show off and I liked the pink pearl design here more. than the original, it's not bad but this one just fits perfectly

Such a nice AU. It’s too bad that we know all we know now, though, it kinda prevents me from enjoying it, because so many things are wrong...
And you even see that they changed Pink Diamond’s design halfway through, based on the mural on the Moon.

Whoever made this had such a better vision than the actual show did YEARS before Pink was even revealed. Never underestimate fandom, they may just do it better.
It's kind of trite, TBH.
This is also a better plot twist than what we got in the show. It literally ties everything in and shows how things are never as black and white as they appear in history.

I could've seen this a potential way to introduce Pink diamond and her plans. It would've been a good plot for the final season but if that were to happen then change your mind would never exist.
Also, this could've been a plot. Even though it probably was planned since the start that Pink Diamond would be Steven's mom but i could totally seeing this being the "endgame" so to speak. lol this just gave me an idea for a very good AU/Fanfic

How do people come up with amazing stories like this I just can't get enough of these different AU's.
I also had a theory long ago that amethyst was “ pink diamond” and that is why pearl always tells her “ she was the only good thing to come out of the war” like it would’ve been pretty cool. Honestly the ending was okay but it could’ve been more to the show. It would’ve been so much better with either ending. For the most “ defective “ gem to be the most powerful!
I honestly kind of like this plot a little more than the the canon;;; its just so good and ties so nicely and has some awesome potential!!!

I know this is an AU, but you got some things right in canon to the series:
-You kinda theorised the Corrupting Light, cos the Diamonds did want to wipe out the Rebels after the war...
-I think when White Diamond took Pink’s original Pearl, she replaced her with her own.
But still, this would’ve been a wonderful Season 5 opening arc!
I have watched some alternate Steven Universe story lines, and this is one of the best. If only Rebecca had gone with this path, I would think show would of been more amazing.

Kinda the whole point of Rose was to tear down the "dead parent" stereotype and show why you shouldn't glorify the dead, though. Rose wasn't a good person a lot of the time. That's the point of her character. She's dead, but that doesn't mean Steven has to treat her like she was perfect. In reality, she kinda sucked.
Neither she nor Pink is SUPPOSED to be a likable character. Pink's major flaw, at the end of the day, was that no matter how hard she tried she was still a Diamond. She carried that on to Rose, and that's why Rose was so obsessed with the idea of becoming something else. She was ultimately unable to overcome her flaws, so she relied on Steven to be better than her.

ahhhh this is so cute!!! I LOVE THISSSSSSS. Yes, I made this comic LONGGGG before anything was revealed in the show. I just thought Lion had a LOT of mannerisms similar to our pearl. For a long time, I questioned if Lion was just a corrupted gem of sorts. Or a shapeshifter. (Considering how often Lion disappeared, I thought for sure it was suspicious, since a gem can't hold a form like that for long....) but as the show went on, it was clearer and clearer this was no longer the case, so pInk's designs changed midway, and my ideas changed midway....though I really should have just stuck with the original idea to the very end. All well. I'm still glad some people appreciate it at least!

this is confirmed negative. white diamond did help in the creation of pearl, along with blue and yellow diamond. each diamond gave her a special trait that they have in their own pearls.
