Thanks for the video tour. I’ve sailed on the Freedom, and the one thing missing that for me is important is no outlet by the bed. As a CPAP user at night, I had to run an extension cord around the room. Not that safe if you get up at night.
It's good that the balcony above you juts out a bit so if it's missing outside you can still use your balcony because it should shelter you from any of
I just booked the Navigator of the Seas for 12-30 and this was the first time they offered Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in both of our rooms free of charge...
Thanks for the tour. It's been many years since I sailed on a Freedom class ship. I like the updated design, especially the shelving in the bathroom. I've found the bathroom storage on all the classes of ship I've been on (Voyager, Freedom, Oasis, Quantum) to be insufficient.
It's probably meant to keep pirates from climbing up the side of the ship and onto the balconies or for what I said if somebody tries to climb over the divider and break into the cabin
Hey Diane! It actually isn't an "upgraded" room as much as it is a "reclaimed" room. On deck's 11 and 12, you will find staterooms that used to be part of a larger Vitality Spa & Fitness center. The downsized those and built out brand new staterooms on the ship with the newer finishings. Look forward to hopefully meeting you on your next Freedom sailing!
@@TheWeekendCruiser ahh that’s why the room looks enormous compared to other junior suites. They borrowed part of the spa to put add those rooms. They’ll always figure out a way to make extra money! They did the same thing to Oasis when they added in Coastal Kitchen and the suites on Deck 17. Best move ever imo.
I saw you had life vests in your room. I was on Harmony of the Seas 2 weeks ago and there were no life vests in the rooms! We would have to go to where our muster drill was. I found that strange and dangerous. I was very surprised.
That would be very odd not to have those. I know there are plenty at the muster station but I would have thought every room was supposed to have them? Did you inquire with the stateroom attendant? Maybe the prior guest stole them? 😂
@@TheWeekendCruiser Actually I was told that at my muster station. I sailed with 1 other cruise line in the past and they had them in the closet in the room. This was first R.C. cruise. I can't imagine thousands of people running around that enormous ship in an emergency trying to get life vests! What a stampede that will be! I think I lost a few pounds with all that walking I did on that ship! I just thought, well, God forbid there's an emergency, I hope I'm close to my muster station!😬🤭

That is very true! Had not thought about that one but I can assure anyone, whatever in my rooms is not valuable enough to risk doing that lol

That is very true and probably because of her age of 19 years. Glad on many of the new builds they have corrected this!

Insufficient bathroom storage is my absolute pet hate - I really struggled on Virgin this year (and I don’t pack heavy with toiletries!)
Keep in mind, there are only a few staterooms like this on Freedom. Most are not updated :-(. Yes, I love good bathroom storage AND counter space.

I see no reason why it couldn't? I am in another room on deck 12 this weekend and the door is mounted the same way as this one.
