Dinkum: How to place items under the PERGOLAS!!!

- Have you been frustrated by the inability to place items under the pergolas in Dinkum before now? Well look no further. This short and sweet little how-to video will show you exactly how to achieve the impossible. A big thanks to my friend and fellow builder, Celestina, for sharing this step by step info with me and the biggest thank you of all to creator and developer James Bendon for telling the community how to solve the issue. I hope this tutorial helps you achieve all your designing goals in Dinkum.

Do you think we can do this with the bridges too so that animals, boats and people can go under it?
You can also place items on top of the pergola in this way, just not in open space.
First stand on top of the pergola that you set down with placeItem and use you dirt printer to fill in the space below up to the level of the top. Put down a floor tile and place whatever you like on the top.
This closes off your open wall for the open air use of the pergola. But it’s very nice if you are using them as a boardwalk or deck.
In my experience there is still one cell in the 4x4 area that cannot have anything placed on it or dirt. If others don’t have this problem, please let me know! I might be doing something wrong in my placement.

what are the numbers for palm wood and other pergolas? I couldn't get this to work for me
Make sure dev commands are turned on(instructions are in the comments here). The PI code for the palmwood pergola is 717 and the gumwood pergola is 719.
@@SarahndipityPlays are these the only codes that are needed or is there a site to find all the codes needed? been trying to find the stream reaps was told by james but cant seem to find it
@Hufflepuffer44 There are more. I think the master list might be pinned on the Dinkum discord. We have a partial list pinned on my discord but it isn't an updated version with all the new things.
I wonder if that would work woth bridges and allowing animals to move under it now?

This works but how do I remove the pergola if I don't want it there?
@irontildeath what's worked for me is typing "debug" into the chat and then move to her blank square you couldn't put any items in and type placeItem -1. That should pick it up.
@@SarahndipityPlays I also realized that you can just pick it up as normal if you stand in the southwest corner of the pergola.

Where do you get the item ids?
@emilywright6655 Someone had them and passed them around awhile back, but the list hasn't been updated in awhile. I believe we've got it pinned on my discord in the Dinkum channel.
@SarahndipityPlays, thanks! I found it on your discord. As you suspected, it could use an update. None of the pergolas are on there. I'll stay tuned in hopes an updated list turns up. It's a game changing tip!
I have tried this SO many ways...and can't get it to work :(
I'm so sorry to hear it's not working for you! One of the things I think I neglected to include in the instructions was exactly how to turn on Dev Commands so that you can achieve this look. To do that, press the enter button while in the Dinkum game and type in the command box devCommandsOn. Press enter, then press enter again and type cheatsOn. Once you do that, hit the = button on your keyboard and it should open up access to all the items. If you've turned on Dev Commands, then you should be able to use placeItem codes that I gave in the tutorial. Good luck. I hope that helps!
