I just got my sony muse player from the states down here in Melb Australia. What a player.
Nice! Yeah, I've still got this one and also an HIL-C1 that I use as my daily drivers. Great players!
Thanks for including me in the video Sam, I’m loving the player and been buying way too many discs lately.
My pleasure! Thanks for helping the cause! Happy LD hunting!!
I was surprised with the shout out! Much appreciated! haha! I was entertained watching the "wheel of fortune" randomizer pick the winner on the THX podcast. It was a super fun raffle! Glad you got your Sony Muse player up and running! Keep on doing great videos! I love your channel and the Laserdisc Forever group is a crazy fun bunch. Glad I discovered the group from your videos!
Thanks so much man! Yeah, I have a blast hanging out with the LD crew!
I believe that LD-S1 was previously mine.
So great to hear Sam. Thanks for the shoutout! -AG
No problem! Thanks for helping out! Cheers!
Ayyy I completely agree with your HK picks! Thanks for the SO, Sam.
Wicked! No problem - thanks for helping out!
Congrats on this very nice looking Sony, I admire your persistence! But, on MUSE - I picture myself explaining it to my social circle (who barely comprehend my collecting standard LDs). 'It's almost as good as blu-ray, but you have to scrounge for international parts to get it to work. And you need a decoder. And the disks are 20x the cost. But then you can watch Legends of the Fall, baby!!' They'd throw me in a padded cell. . ..
Ooo, has that “R-Core” transformer Sony uses in their good hi-fi decks
Would you ever do a video showing your Hong Kong collection!? I'm trying to buy Jackie Chan films on laserdisc because that is one of the only ways to see the original versions of several of his HK films!!
For sure! It's nowhere near 'complete', but I can show what I have so far!
Hello, how can I get the best image quality? .. I have a dvl-909 laserdisc player and I would like to connect to Smart tv 65 but it doesn't have an analog connection ... I need HDMI ... do you recommend a converter or a video processor? .Currently it is connected to a DVD / HHDD using s-video and composite Rca through a scart adapter and the dvd / HHDD HDMI output to the tv I can use 576i..576p ... 720p and 1080 ... THANK YOU
isn't there Japanese discs with pit art that's pink, I think I have seen pictures of those.
Yeah, there are a number of pit art discs, though I think they're all dead sides or only partially playable, with brief 'content is on the other side of disc' messages. Likewise, there are some interesting discs with white plastic dead sides - usually music titles.
I can't believe you snubbed an honorable mention for The Transformers Movie, anchored by the power rock of the legendary Stan Bush. Transformers > Akira all day every day.
Peter Biancardi offered me a free Mitsubishi player a week ago. What he doesn't know is that I can do A LOT of pushups. Not saying I can e-beg my way into a MUSE player... I just wanted to point out that I can do a lot of pushups. :)
Did you pick up the player? The Mitsubishi D704 clone is a nice deck.
Culturedog Not yet. He’s mad that I like Techmoan. Just kidding - his heart’s in the right place and I’m going to reach out to him soon.
Sega Boy
What is his problem with techmoan ? Did techmoan hooked up a Laserdisc player incorrectly ?
The Shadow Man Techmoan is great! Some other people just don’t like him because they don’t believe the information he provides is comprehensive.
@@theshadowman1398 still hate me Ilja? I'm trying to get you on the podcast....
