    NATO strategy of air support would not work so well in the zone saturated with potent air defence. The Russuans have dealt with that, that's why the Russians are using air support so extensively. Remember, this is not Afghanistan. And the US had a stealth fighter shot down in Yugoslavia.

    From the statement of the Commander of the Air Defense forces of the Russian Army:
    - None of the armies in the world has the experience of creating such large-scale air defense groups as Russia during a special operation.
    - This fact is fundamental and strategic. Moreover, it has been proven in real combat operations.
    - NATO doesn't have anywhere near that kind of experience. This means that its troops and infrastructure are not viable in modern warfare, even with conventional weapons.
    - It is also becoming proven that in the event of a nuclear war, NATO will receive a much more serious defeat than Russia.

    For all the contracts that the MIC have made in the last 2yrs... In the future I suspect many of these contracts will be cancelled if still possible, and that the Russian MIC will be inundated with requests for equipment from all over the world. There is no reason to think that they won't grab the entire non-NATO market and more importantly the future markets from developing countries. They could just get a few new ports, and resource/mining contracts in exchange instead of owed debt... Major increase in soft power too. Boy have the US scored an own goal in everything. BDK EV's have taken over Tesla, now S-3/400's, over patriot, Iskanders over ATACMS, T-14 Armata over Abrahams. Can't compete for price and quality. The Allied lost france and pull out, they only rejoined later when the russian already winning. While invading the the german the soviet bring 1.2 million highly trained and experienced troops, the german probably have a million too, the troops the allied bring are not even enough to advance to paris if the soviet did not push into Germany. The german are more worried about the soviet since they have lost so many ground to soviet than the smaller number allied troops.

    Ax : Prohres -Seldove, keep the high ground between Vov(o)tcha and Solona. ... Not "tactical", strategical. Russians will avoid to cross Vovchta or other main rivers. Lesson from Dniepr. Impose Ukrainans to cross them, if they like to. Mokri Yali and Vovtcha will be "fronts". Later coming from Solona,-river, maybe without taking Pokrovsk etc.. , but develop east of Kazenny Torrets.

  • @martinhuhn7813
    @martinhuhn7813 Před 13 dny

    Regarding the Ocheretyne-sailient I usually hear, that the Russians might direct their main push either north or - which is mentioned more frequently - west towards Pokrowsk. Pokrowsk is a main supply hub and would therefor be an excellent target for the russians, so the argument.
    Even though that all makes some sense, I am not convinced. There are two concentric defensive rings around Pokrovsk and cutting of the ukrainian supplies to that city would only be possible with an extreme amount of russian forces.And even then, just taking Pokrovsk would not completely cut off ukrainian supplies to any part of the frontline.
    What I never hear about, is the possibility, that the Russians direct their Ocheretyne - forces mainly to the southwest instead. But that direction is much less fortified and not as easy for the ukrainians to supply, so the russians should be able to advance faster and farther with the same forces in that direction. How would the possible consequences look? If the russians reached and took Selydowe, that would be devastating for all ukrainian positions east of that. Those positions are already weakened and could fall very quickly then, thus allowing the russians to advance even further and faster in that southwestern direction. All regions there are alredy under immense pressure from other directions, so, we could expect further quick advances and possibly a complete collapse of the ukrainian defenses in the southern parts of the Donetzk -Oblast. After that, Ukrainian defences along the northern border of Saporizia- Oblast are very weak and Dnipropetrovsk-Oblast is mostly unfortified. Once the russians got that far, the war would be pretty much over.
